@anamazing I havent and I haven’t heard of anyone who has yet either. Have you?
@ajw14f I haven’t seen any, by chance if you’ve read last years thread, would you happen to know a certain time frame Annenberg applicants got decisions?
@anamazing I’m not too sure but I think it was around the beginning-mid May
I think I saw the first Annenberg applicant receive a decision on May 20th. So it’s late May for us
@USCGirl17 @anamazing well best of luck to both of you! what majors did you all apply for?
I’m getting super worried guys, I applied for Global Studies and NGO’s and Social Change as my first and second choice major within Dornsife and people are already getting SGR’s. :-S I think i’m just overreacting.
@Msmclagirl Don’t worry May is coming fast hopefully we will hear more by then - if we don’t get a SGR or hear anything in the next few weeks will you send usc your spring grades regardless? I haven’t gotten any request either but will have them to send by 5/13 just not sure if sending them without getting an official SGR will matter or not?
I am but my admissions counselor said only if they ask but I’m still going to send it in regardless and if he ask why, then I’ll make up an excuse like I went out of town and wouldn’t be back until the end of Summer, something along those lines. When I called the Admissions office one time, they told me to send it regardless so it’s very confusing whether or not to send it but I would still send it. It could only help you not hurt you. @madlion21 What’s your major btw?
@ajw14f Wow so late! Gosh the anticipation is killer! I’m a Public Relations major, what about yourself? I’m almost certain I’ll get an SGR since my grades have been on an upward trend which means even more waiting!
@Msmclagirl Great answer thanks! Haven’t reached out to my admissions counselor at all so now will just send them and hope for best. First choice major Psychology, second choice Sociology.
You’re welcome. Are you transferring in as a sophomore or junior? @madlion21
I’m a sophomore and will have over 64 units when this semester is done but if they don’t all transfer that’s ok willing to do more time as long as it’s at usc haha What year are you currently? @Msmclagirl
Same, I’m currently a freshman which is very hard to get into USC but I’m just going to be positive. Is true they only look at transferable courses? @madlion21
@anamazing Broadcast Journalism! and same here, even though an SGR means more waiting I can’t help but take it as a good sign.
Has anybody applying to Viterbi heard back in terms of SGRs, WGRs, rejections, etc?
@lancaster29 Nope, Viterbi is basically the last to respond. I wouldn’t expect a response til at least May 20th.
Ugh I knew it, but I was hoping for an excuse to be hopeful the wait is absolutely killing me
I read that sgr for junior applicants means that you’re a borderline applicant. and so you guys are lucky to not get anything yet!
I am applying to Viterbi as a transfer student from Penn State. They sent me a letter on Monday requesting my spring grades, I am not sure if it’s a good sign or not. Has anyone received this letter or actually been accepted yet?
@invalid99
based on past years viterbi acceptances/rejections don’t usually come out til May 20-30th… Did you get a physical letter through the mail with your SGR or did they update your portal?
