Official USC 2015 Transfer Thread

Do you guys know if they review applications throughout the weekend?

@bobisweird Yeah your counselor does have the power to “strongly recommend” you in a sense. They don’t give the deciding factor but they do play a role.

@mick96 are they the first ones to read your app ? I asked mine could I sent in my spring grade even tho they didn’t ask and she said I could… Is this a bad sign ? :frowning:

My boyfriend that was accepted (on tues april 28,) his portal just got updated and it says he has to commit and down payment by tomorrow. Anyone else that was accepted get that too? I find that crazy they give you a few days.

@bobisweird I’m not sure. I personally wouldn’t send in my spring grades unless they asked for it. It could be possible that they have already reviewed your application and sending it won’t change anything? I’m not sure. I haven’t heard anything back yet and I’m on TTP so I’m just waiting for now.

@ajw14f We have the same Admissions Counselor have you ever emailed or talked to him before?

@arielirby Yeah that’s strange. 3-4 days to choose whether or not you’ll be attending USC isn’t much time. It’s possible that they make it be a short decision so in case he chooses not to attend, they will offer his spot for someone else?

I recently asked if someone had gotten accepted what time line they had to accept would have to look back a few pages but they told me they had until June 1st

Guys, is it a bad sign if I asked my counselor if I can send in my spring grades even tho they didn’t ask and they said yes ? I’m getting really good grades is why I’m kinda eager to send them in

@arielirby Maybe your boyfriend should call usc in the morning and ask they can’t expect him to reply so quickly and anyway all the freshman applicants are submitting their commits/payments tomorrow - isn’t your bf a transfer not first year?

@bobisweird If they are great grades send them in I’m going to do the same in 2 weeks even without a SGR once we get accepted they’ll want them anyway haha

@madlion21 I have! I’ve asked him questions in the past and stuff, but never an ongoing conversation  I wish we had more communication tbh I feel like it could really help

@TonyStark93 what major did you apply for???

@AlexNeeeeewin Aww dude! Don’t worry about it. Yeah, I’m transferring from a four-year university so I totally understand. You’re definitely getting in!! Crossing fingers

ok so on oasis, only a restrictions date change without a stars report date change means rejection???

@megamegss mine is doing the same thing… i think i got rejected, my restrictions changed on the 28th and my audit thing just says error.

@ForeverGymnast21 wait… so that means rejection?! if you don’t mind can you tell me your stats please ? and are you from a 4 year or cc?

@megamegss im not sure, i was pretty sure that i had to get an SGR before getting an acceptance since i am still in the process of finishing English and Calc but i have no clue at all, i am pretty confused at the moment. I am from a CC in San diego and i have a 3.6, and applied to Marshall for Business Admin. also i am a sophomore transfer.

Also, hi friends. I just had another question,

When logging into your You.USC.edu portal, I noticed I had some items under Document Library, including items like:
Additional Information
Educational History
Financial Statement
Statement of Purpose

Did we need to submit these to them? I’m not sure if they’ll speed up the decision process LOL.

@megamegss BUT… i was reading some of the posts on last years thread and this one guy said he submitted his SGR and then his restrictions changed but his audit report said error or wasn’t updated but i think he was accepted. but honestly i have no clue at all. This is all super confusing. What are your stats if you don’t mind me asking?
