I’m assuming you’re referring to the financial aid; it was updated on my portal.
@princessluna My online SGR did not have any instructions, the one my family received at the home address had instructions as to where to send it. I think it was just for people who want to expedite it and get a faster reply back. So you are not missing out on anything major from their “special instructions”
have u guys tried looking at “submit applications document?” If u read the sgr through your check application status, now go onto the tab below it and it should said under required documents “transcript with your college’s name”
I’ve been following this discussion for quite a while, but just signed up to ask two very important questions. I’d appreciate it if you guys could help:
- Does USC offer scholarships to transfer students (full rides too)? If so, are test scores required to be considered at all?
- Has anyone's YouSC portal changed? Especially those accepted? I don't mean the admission decision, but a note that says they only send out all admission decisions by postal mail? I have this on my portal now, but I'm not able to check my mail until Tuesday, so I was wondering if anyone else's portal says the same thing, especially those who were admitted? :S
Good luck everyone!
@EnDeee It says that all final admissions decisions are sent via postal mail on mine too. Did it not say that before I never noticed?
Ok I’m getting really worried!
About 2 weeks ago USC sent a request for additional information from me, and I sent the information via YouSC as an “additional document.” After a week the notification wouldn’t disappear from YouSC, and I contacted the admissions counselor and asked if uploading the document was OK. She told me that this was fine. Today I received another email requesting the information as a “final notice.”
Any ideas? I just contacted my admissions counselor again about this and hopefully it can get cleared up…
@invalid99 When they said, “mailed,” they meant mailed to my home address? Okay, that makes sense as to why i haven’t received it in my email.
@trnsfrstdnt yeah, it’s there. But I wanted to make sure I was going to do it right since the message said, “special instructions.” Do you just upload an unofficial transcript?
@EnDeee for the scholarships question, yes there are transfer scholarships as for full rides i dont remember there being one, as i would have applied for it. they were due back in february along with the common app
Well, I just saw that on my portal. I believe it was something different before. :S
Thanks for your responses, guys! mmoore0142, did you have to apply to any of them separately?
Has anyone heard back from Health Promotion and Disease Prevention under Keck?
BTW Congrats to all of those who have been accepted!! Fight On!!
@LEGASC I haven’t heard back yet… Still patiently waiting!
Do you guys know if legacy really helps? Both of my brothers are Trojan alumni so I was wondering if that would up my chances a bit?
@EnDeee yes i did, there are a couple specialized ones i had separate applications for. (black alumni scholarship and the ntsaf need based scholarship)
@fightonRT, this article is relevant to your question.

UPDATE: my portal FINALLY updated (took 8 days) and I am now able to submit my enrollment deposit! Yay! It’s official!
Congrats on your acceptance! Do you happen to know how many transfers were admitted to MI this year and do you know of anyone who got a SGR for that major?
My friend just got the acceptance package in the mail today, she’s a Marshall applicant!
