Just got the email… Devastated. Is there any way I could still receive an acceptance in the next couple of weeks? Does it just mean I won’t get a scholarship?
@ccggp101, you have fabulous stats. Every year there are students like you who are surprised they are not finalists. Sometimes it comes down to the reality of tough competition–others who applied for your major–and your unique attributes in that pool. If they have 3 fabulous candidates with stellar community service honors, will they select all 3? That might be the year that having worked in a clinic helps one stand out. Sometimes a student inadvertently gives the impression (through essays, attention to details, mistakes?) that they she/he dreams of attending Harvard. Or Stanford. If USC gets that impression, you will not be invited. These ideas are meant to give you extraordinary young people more perspective on the process and of the qualities USC looks for in awarding top scholarships. They look for kids who want to bring their gifts and talents to make USC better. And they, of course, can’t award invitations to all the excellent candidates.
@girlofyourdreams that’s what I’m wishing for too. My stats are horrible but my supplements and essays are really good
i applied to marshall for business ad.
I have not yet received an email notifying me that I’m still in consideration, I haven’t received a package nor has my portal changed.
I called them and they told me they haven’t sent me anything yet so there is still hope! hope that helps for those with no emails or portal changes 
For all those that are concerned, I thought I’d let you know that my D applied by Dec 1st, is a legacy, 4.0 AP student, Viterbi…etc. We’ve received nothing in the mail, no portal change, and no email. I personally know someone in admissions who has verified receipt of her application and every requested document. I don’t yet know if she will be getting any merit scholarships but this should put your mind at ease knowing that they are just simply not done updating the portals, sending out emails, or the mail is just slow! I’m expecting to get notification sometime this week and I’m not counting out just yet the scholarship thing! Good Luck everyone and just be a little more patient…I’m sure by the end of this week every Dec 1st applicant will have an answer:)
@madbean What is your thought regarding people who as yet have no email, portal change, or letter in the mail? I applied to Dornsife, midAtlantic (DC suburbs), so it’s not a school that hasn’t yet sent packages.
I have applied to Dornsife, Biochemistry major. I am US citizen studying in India… I am in same boat, no email, portal change, letter will be last to receive in India.
My understanding based on what I’ve read, though, is that IF they sent a letter/package on Friday, your portal has changed. Thus, wherever you live, even if far away, you should know because of your portal. So, either they have another round to send or they are experiencing technical difficulty sending the email. Another option is that they sent the packages but are having technical difficulty updating portals, but that one is less plausible in my case given that it is a major metro area.
I really don’t know. It could be that there are more notifications coming, although I’ll be honest–the people on the phone in admissions sometimes say things that haven’t proven to be true. Maddeningly, they can be purposefully vague at times, and telling it like it is at times. So… all one can do is wait it out. Check your online portal, too, now that some are receiving emails. This is super stressful time, so sometimes it can help to step away from it all (CC, too) and give it a few days. Still sending all out there much luck.
Hmm it could be that they sent them out by school. I haven’t seen anyone get accepted into Annenberg yet. I applied and I haven’t received an email or portal update.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but if I got an email saying I wasn’t considered for any scholarships, is it possible to still be considered for Deans scholarship?
Applied for Dornsife and still have not gotten Email, Portal, or postal mail. Just checked the mail for today and got a financial aid deadline card, but that’s it. This is so nerve-wracking it’s all I can think about.

Can’t tell if its a good think or a bad thing. Considering my stats are super borderline but my essay was really good apparently and I have lots of EC’s. @emhelm13 what are your stats? i have 31 ACT, 3.8 UW, 4.23 W GPA. 9 AP’s throughout HS.
It seems like people who applied to Viterbi already got there answer except me… No email or portal change. Anyone else out there?

Nothings happening for me either, no portal change or update and no e-mail. I’, still glad because I still have hope but I’m just so confused at this point… I JUST WANT THE PACKET! :’( Good luck everyone! Hope we all hear good news soon!!!
