When did you guys submit your first semester grades? My school had exams in the second week of January, so I actually did it yesterday. Is it possible there’s a stack of applications for which they are awaiting these inputs? Could that be limbo?
@ackack I’m not sure… I submitted mine around the 17th… and I haven’t received any sort of notification about anything. Typically though if semester grades is what’s holding back their decision they would’ve sent out a semester grade request a little while before anything was sent out to anybody but it’s hard to tell…

Leave it to my dad to hide my golden envelope knowing that I was waiting to hear from USC!!! But I got in with and interview for the presidential scholarship.
@StevenToCollege honestly it’s different with everyone. Some get bumped up, some get bumped down. Numberwise it looks like some people end up not receiving anything as about 1,000 (give or take) people are selected but last year only 624 people were actual recipients of a scholarship.
@arob1129 hhaha when my mom said nothing came, I was sort of hoping she was doing that to me! Hahaha Congrats! 
@stahboy I also applied to Viterbi and am in limbo.

@bam246609 , NMF Presidential Scholars are not notified now. If you are a NMF and you get admitted in March, make sure you designate USC as your first choice school and you will get the Presidential. Good luck!

@emhelm13 , Yeah, it is a head-scratcher to me that a rich, white male with a 31 ACT score got picked for the scholarship round. But who knows? Maybe he did something really innovative in business or charity? Or maybe this a student in a major where talent takes precedence, like SCA? But try not to stress out. I know how you feel. I didn’t even pay attention to the scholarship round with my first 2 sons – I was just stressing out over the regular admission round. But, relax, you have an excellent shot.
@lethallydia That’s weird… It was doing that to everyone last week… I’m sure it’ll come back soon I think its a result of overloading since so many of us are trying to get online. Try again in a few minutes… Hopefully it’ll go back to normal! Maybe it means they’re updating your portal!

Just received the email. Is it a possibility to still get Dean’s though?
@fahimi1351 I am not 100% sure but considering that only 80 people were recipients of Dean’s last year, it looks like its selective only towards people who have been accepted at this time… BUT! you can definitely receive a scholarship along with an admission during March although it will not be one of the big scholarships that are gifted at this time.
@LegacyMom it’s just that this rich white kid is my best friend and he does deserve it but like if he got it how did I not as well
