*OFFICIAL* UW Class of 2010 Acceptance List

man, i still have received nothing...i dont think im gonna get in.

dont worry- three of my friends have not gotten in yet and all of them have between a 3.7 and 4 gpa, above 1850 sats, amazing ec's (such as winning deca nationals, student body president, etc). I cant imagine them not getting in so i definitely think theres a huge group of people who are going to get accepted in the next few weeks.

wow... the last person to get in on CC was two weeks ago....and the last person at my school to get in was over a month ago....maybe the admissions counselor's just quit, or went on strike and decided to stop admitting people.

Oh, the admissions process is still grinding away. A good article in the Seattle Times this past Sunday here: http://archives.seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/texis.cgi/web/vortex/display?slug=uwadmissions05m&date=20060305&query=uw+admissions . And here's a quote of the relevant tidbit of information from the article: "All, or nearly all, students who are accepted will be notified by the end of this month and have until May 1 to confirm a spot, Ballinger said."

^ thats good news that everyone will be notified before April, thanks for sharing the article with us!

mine just changed from "awaiting an initial review" to "application has been reviewed" so,, yea they are still working! ^---^

i applied way back in november and still have not heard back. it was updated november 28th, but my it says my updated transcript was received feb 6th or so. i am thinking i probably did not get in, or i must be on a waiting list ; ;

"omgplease" if it says "app has been reviewed" try checking your unofficial transcript. Mine said app has been reviewed so i looked at my transcript and thats what told me i had gotten admitted

jcal, thanks for the tip!

DrDrew is admitted!

i actually got an e-mail. But yea, I'm admitted!

I got into UW! SOooOOoooooOoo happy! My number 1 choice! Did the unofficial transcript thing!

hey steve, when did you find out? I had a higher SAT score (1910), more EC's (senior class president), but slightly less (3.27) GPA than you, plus im in state. this gives me hope.

You're definitely in. It's more then hope, I'm sure of it, unless your application sucked.

my essay was excellent too, everybody that read it (teachers included) thought it was one of the best they'd ever read. It was basically about my life growing up in Oakland, CA and the diversity, violence, etc. I encountered there

I'm sure they love asians at UW, and if you're asian I think you're in. Even if you're not, HOW COULD YOU NOT GET IN? I mean that SAT score is awesome, excellent essay, all that stuff, good stuff. And you're senior class president, I didn't see that, that means you gotta get in. Don't fret. Actually check your stats RIGHT now.

Yea I know some geniuses with 2300+ SATs that haven't received their letter yet. I think I read somewhere that they don't read the apps in any particular order. I know a guy that has a 3.0 GPA and applied last minute for normal admission that got his letter over a month ago. So don't start worrying just yet.

nothing today either, and yeah, im technically asian (East Indian)

Close enough

This is crazy! i live right near campus so I have never even wanted to go before, but now I want to go so bad that I am flipping about the admissions process. I am right on the bubble: 3.27 GPA, some honors and AP, 2060 SAT, 3 years of ASB, 6 weeks of volunteer work at a camp, and my essay was about winning an award at the UW MUN conference. My friend heard with a 3.0 (claims its because he is legacy, I dont believe it). I keep hearing about kids who have gotten in with less, and others who have been rejected with more.

steve you give me hope as well. explain the unofficial transcript thing?
