***Official UW Class of 2022 Decision Thread***

I think we all would’ve felt better if there was just a set time like many of you said. Even if the set time was March 15th at 11:59pm, we’d all have an exact date to think about and wouldn’t be checking MyUW every few hours. :(( Oh well!

Yeah, I applied to U Florida the same day as UW, and literally everyone got their decisions on February 9! No admission window, just one concrete day that everyone waited for. And UF got just as many applicants as UW, so it’s not the size.

Come on, let’s be real here. UW for sure has already has finished making the decisions, they’ve had more than enough time. It’s just for whatever reason, they’re holding back on releasing them (they can do that since they gave a range of dates, not one) and it’s getting old very fast.

@WolfBlood and everyone else on this thread. The stated notification date has always been March 1st through March 15th. I’m sorry everyone is so anxious, and we are not trying to make you anxious/stressed on purpose. Processing and reading over 46,000 applications is a monumental task. We have never said it would be the 1st, nor the 5th, but notifications will start rolling out soon.

@UWadmissionstaff , “soon” is very subjective  can you be little more precise to put a stop to our anxiety pls.

If i read another post from them giving the window for announcements i will lose it. If you’re not going to give us any new info, then just let us freak out in peace. not sure how productive this is lol anyways good luck everyone

I think it’s better to keep the March 15th-March 30th timeframe because they get to have their acceptance on the day of last year. But from now on we can just hope that we can get any news “soon”. Good luck!

Wait from what I remember @UWadmissionstaff said that they would began rolling out today, right?

@Sumaya123 they never said that

yes, my son got the big red envelope acceptance today 3/5 from Seattle U with congratulation letter.

@mysonschools This is the wrong thread for acceptances to Seattle U. I would recommend finding that thread and posting there.

@fizzymangoes You’re correct, it was never said, but it was implied several days ago.

^^ Right

@Sumaya123 @UWadmissionstaff previously said that admissions would start rolling out the week of March 5th, but not that specific day. They then went on to say that it would probably be later this week.

The thing I’m frustrated about about is this admissions window and the way in which it’s advertised to the general public. I feel that people are led to interpret this March 1st - March 15th window as being the ENTIRE timeframe UW actually releases decisions, which logically means they would finish the review and finalizing process just before March starts. This obviously doesn’t mean that everyone would receive their decisions in the beginning of March, but some should starting on March 1st.

Apparently, the admissions team doesn’t really have to be done by March 1st, as they continue to work and continuously push the timeframe later while every anxious UW hopeful who constantly checks their MyUW page is left in the dark. I understand reviewing 46000+ applicants takes a long time and they want to be as thorough as possible, but they should have given notice to the general public by email that they would probably be delayed.

I would rather have a smaller and more accurate window (say March 8th to March 15th), when UW is guaranteed to actually release decisions, than be put under this kind of false hope and anxiety.

@UWadmissionstaff Thank you for being active on this forum, updating us, and helping ease some of the anxiety. I only wish the admissions team (as a group, not you specifically) advertised decision releases in a less stressful and more accurate manner

@UWadmissionstaff Is it true that some people have already been alerted of rejections? I know you’ve said no one has been accepted, but wasn’t sure if this was true or not.

@WolfBlood What did you mean by “You already do that to your wannabe CS majors?” on post #525 haha?

What time are the MyUW portals usually updated?

@Tennisboy2022 , someone in last year thread mentioned as 1 AM i guess seatle time.

Just wondering if anyone knows how international students receive their decision if accepted? Still by snail-mail or e-mail instead since international shipping? If still snail-mail, I’m slightly concerned 'cause I realized my house number was absent on my mailing address for myuw page (I just changed it).

@indecisive19 international students should be getting an email. Also, the MyUW portal will indicate your decision, so you won’t have to wait for the mail.

@UWadmissionstaff When you say the decisions start rolling out soon, do you mean this Thursday or Friday?
