***Official UW Class of 2022 Decision Thread***

I had to log out of my email account so I don’t update it all the time. This is the only place I go to to see if statuses have been updated. If you are extremely anxious, please help yourself by logging out or doing something else. It is no good for your health. Thank you

I just want to tell everyone to calm down a little, some of you are being a little rude, js.
We have all waited for many months now, so we can wait a few more days.

@UWadmissionstaff is already more than helpful and which is much appreciated!

@belieber51 No one has received denial or admit decisions yet. @indecisive19 Applicants who have an international mailing address will be notified by email and a packet in the mail if admitted.

@UWadmissionstaff Can we expect decisions this week or will everything be released next week

This is like the movie Groundhog Day…someone asks this question every few hours and then UW says it will be between 1-15th and then a few hours later we repeat…

@UWadmissionstaff Will denial decisions be released all at once? It seems like for emails it’d be easier if they were sent all at the same time. Will acceptance packets be sent before denials?

@fleurenrose17 they already said that all decisions will be sent out in no order in regards to type of decision.

I think they said they can only email a certain amount of denials per day because they have a limit amount of emails they can send per day.

Oh okay, thank you guys!

Was really hoping to get a decision closer to the 1st. Trying to make that admitted student day that falls during Spring Break. Airfare is going up… went ahead and booked a flight. I guess we will either do the admitted student day or have an extra day to sight see in Seattle!

Waiting for your UW college acceptance letter - the real March Madness.

That moment when my recently visited pages automatically show up as my uw and college confidential.
LOL

@fortniteWinsOnly sameee I only made college confidential to post on the UW thread

If only one of the STEM hopefuls could develop a method to harness the stress and anxiety created this past week and turn it into usable energy. The worlds energy problem would be solved! LOL

Neurosis at its finest. It will all work out no matter what the outcome. Besides, no one cares about where you go for undergraduate school. Its all about grad school. X_X . That said, my snailbox says "Come on Willy Wonka Golden Ticket!!

@FutureCSstudent I meant that people who did not get direct admission to CS at UW have to go through disgustingly large and stressful weed-out intro classes that the majority of people drop out. To make matters worse, it is very difficult to get direct admit to CS, you’ll have to have perfect grades and SAT scores. I think UW gave the number that only 1% percent of people who indicate CS on their freshman applications actually get direct admission. Of course, you could apply after you get the pre-reqs done like most people but that is only after two years at UW’s weed-out classes of 500 students that are graded on difficult curves. And if you don’t get in at this time, sorry you’ll have to switch majors and do a bunch of new pre-reqs, or transfer somewhere else. Only do CS at UW if you really love it!

One would think that any school (not just UW) with a competent CS department would be able to design as system that would accomodate sending out 45K emails in one day…just saying!

For the stressed ones, you are doing it to yourself. The range is March 1 - March 15. If you set your mind that you will know by the 15th, there is no stress. If you find out their decision prior to the 15th (you will), then be thankful and happy (assuming they admitted you).

Friend called admissions and was told first 4-5000 will go out today at 4PM PT
