Anyone else getting the same “no valid userid is in session” message when trying to log in to the portal? Anyone maybe know how to fix it? My twin got accepted as well as my friend but now I’m sitting here with building apprehension…
Has anyone’s portal not updated? Mine still says that they will inform me when they make a decision.
Update S18 was not DA to engineering so it looks unlikely that he will attend.
My portal has not updated yet as well. If I didn’t get in that’s fine since I have alternatives but since I did not have my decisions yet I still have some time to pray lol but congratz to anyone who got in!

Congratulations and good luck!
How can we check our unofficial transcripts?
Waitlisted smh I kinda had a gut feeling it would be like that. Now I have to wait some more!
I spent the last 2 years getting my grades up from a 3.0 to a 4.0uw(in state), and getting an amazing sat score all because I wanted to go to UDub, only to get denied. They don’t care about whether or not you’re qualified, they care only about their admission statistics. There has been absolutely no point to the last two years of my life, I want to kill myself.
Don’t worry. Everything will be okay. It sounds like you have great work ethic and will thrive anywhere. You can always transfer and may find out it wasn’t even the school for you. Hang in there
That comment was meant for you
@xealen I feel you. I have a couple of friends getting their IB diplomas who applied to UW, and have no doubt they would be extremely successful there. They worked their butts off to maintain half A’s and half B’s, only to get denied because of a 3.5 uw GPA. I also got denied with all rigorous courses and very good SAT/EC’s/essays, but had a 3.5 as well. Additionally, I know someone with almost all regular classes and a 3.9 uw GPA that got in. This whole “holistic” thing is bs. You are absolutely right in that they care about the unweighted GPA statistics more than anything. I wouldn’t be surprised if my essays weren’t even read. It is both a lazy and corrupt system.
I will say that your hard work to bring up your grades was not for nothing. You have developed working habits that will lead you to success wherever you go. I am sorry about the pain you are feeling.
@xealen I know this can be a very hard process. Trust me, you can find happiness and success many different ways. One school should not impact how you feel about yourself or your future. But, if you still want UW in the future, you can also try and transfer in later.
@xealen I’m sorry you are so down. Don’t let once school get you down so much. You obviously have have learned so much and developed great study habits over the last couple of years. Honestly, being in the top 10% of graduates at a school like Western Washington often puts people in a better place than being in the top 50% of the UW graduating class. There are so many different paths to get to the same place. Or, save yourself some money, do a couple of years at community college, and then transfer to UW. Hang in there. And if you have thoughts of self harm, please talk to an adult you trust or reach out to a hotline.
