More importantly, does anyone know when OOS students hear back about the Purple and Gold Scholarship?
Unfortunately, the cost to attend UW Seattle is more than other schools I was accepted to in the midwest. Although UW Seattle is such an incredible school, especially for pre health sciences, there is no way that I can go to UW Seattle without a scholarship, so I am hoping that the Purple and Gold Scholarship can help students like me. If anyone has any information on that scholarship, I would really appreciate it

In past years, the amount awarded was stated on the student’s admission letter.

Congratulations and good luck!

Decision: Accepted! (Major: Business Administration, DA into Fosters)

In State Student

GPA: 3.84 UW
ACT: 31 (32 Math, 28 Reading, 31 English, 33 Science)
SAT: 1340 (720 Math, 620 Reading)

Courses: 9 APs / 2 Honors

Extracurriculars: Not much to be honest, nothing exceptional; volunteered for programs that tend to help underprivileged youth.

if you are not a direct admit into the major you thought you wanted, it’s really going to be ok. You will likely get into your chosen major or majors. In many ways it’s better because it gives you the opportunity to explore what you might want to study. Don’t stress, it’s really going to be ok!

D Waitlisted
Major: Civil Engineering
OOS
SAT: 1290
GPA: 4.2
Strong EC’s and essays

No. Admissions stated that acceptance letters will continue to be sent through March 15th, which is on Thursday. They said the bulk would come through Monday and later. These are just the earliest groups. I know that many but not all students at my daughter’s in state high school received notification on Friday evening.

@UWadmissionstaff are DA students for Foster school of business required to live in the Residential Business community residence hall? Or , are we allowed to live in a residence hall with students from other majors?

Accepted! International student from Japan
Major: Gender Studies, International Relations
SAT: 1420 (math 700, reading 720)
GPA: N/A, class rank is like 6/325
Essays are okay I guess. Major-related ECs took a leadership position.

My daddy was attending UW for his MBA program, and I mentioned it in one of my essays. This may helped me get in.
And still haven’t received an email…

Anyone planning to join a sorority?

@superstar542 I think we can live anywhere!

QUESTION

My UW portal says

Assigned Major: Business administration

Does this mean I got direct admission to Foster? I’m not 100% sure, but based off of what others said I think that is the case. If so, I can’t believe it…

@UWfromCA - thanks. The admission details on the portal does not mention any scholarship details. So I presume we have to wait for the snail-mail letter to reach us.

We are OOS and my daughter applied for Bioengineering and has been admitted as Engineering - Undeclared, which based on reading “not very clear” language on the UW site leads us to believe she has been admitted to Bioengineering (not sure though and we probably need to call Admissions to clarify)

got DA to Engineering with 3.5 gpa and 1400 sat…

DA to Computer Science
In State
SAT: 1580
SAT Math 2: 800
SAT Physics: 800
Unweighted GPA: 3.9

Just an FYI, USPS informed delivery does show the UW acceptance letters. my sons will be arriving today!

We have USPS informed delivery and live 15 minutes from Seattle, but no mail from UW today! (Already had acceptance from portal.)

@otintheschools Do you guys live in Washington?
