Does anyone know if UW uses weighted or unweighted GPA?
Would anyone be interested in starting a snapchat group or some sort of group chat? I’m applying out of state from Massachusettes so I kinda have a ton of questions and want to meet other people applying, and no one from my school is applying. I have one with a group from Fordham, and it’s been great talking to other people applying. Just thought I would put that out there. I don’t know how this website works but can you PM your snap chats, and I can start a group? or I could put my snapchat in this chat and y’all could just add me?
Has anyone had any luck with UW NetID yet?
unweighted
does anyone know when decisions come out? mid march?
@gatorsoccer19 between March 5th and March 15th.
does Washington require mid-year transcript to be sent??
The answers to basic questions posted in this thread can be found by googling UW admissions which takes you the official UW website and provides info on admissions stats, notifications, criteria and whether transcripts need to be sent. Isn’t it better to get the correct answer from the university than to get possible misinformation from an anonymous source?
@uwlover267 , no Washington doesn’t require any transcript to be sent, until you get admitted and decide to attend. Then, you need to have your school send final grade to UW.
Bit late to the party, sorry about that. Washington native and potential 4th-generation UW student.

Essay was fine, maybe a bit hastened as I did have to cut it down to 500 words. Applied to Honors program, and applied for direct admission to the Foster School of Business. Not sure about their admissions stats - the only thing they post is the average SAT score of admits.
I’ve applied to two prestigious California schools in addition to UW, and they are the three I have yet to hear from. Some occurrences in the in-state applicant pool in recent years: UW’s admissions are truly holistic as they say, and are oftentimes very unpredictable. Last year at my high school we had several high GPA/test score applications rejected and some objectively less academically stellar ones accepted. I know someone with 1580 SAT, 4.0 UW, asb/class president, stunning ECs, etc. who was flat out rejected. Hoping this year’s admissions cycle will be kind to us all and Go Dawgs!
I checked my admision status today and got “Admission Application Status - Not in System”. I was able to see it wihtout a problem before. Does anybody have the some problem?
@Goose15 where do I even go to find my application status? I am on the UW Net ID home page and cannot find anything about the status or portal.
A few days ago my application did not show at all – no buttons or anything. Today it has a section called “Your Seattle Application for Autumn 2019” which wasn’t there before. The button to check the application status says the same thing as @Goose15 : “Admission Application Status - Not in System”
I think it is just a bug.
@Goose15 @w00pw00p It says that for me, too. @jjennyfj Go to https://my.uw.edu/ and click on “view your freshman application status.”
@jjennyfj Sign in with your UW net ID (or create one if you haven’t already); I hope this helped!
Since I just created my Net ID yesterday, maybe it is not up yet for me. I will check again tomorrow. Thank you @Castiel19 @w00pw00p
I got the same exact problem, I emailed my regional admissions officer and she told me it was a system-wide glitch. It is now fixed. I nearly fainted when I saw it too!
Hi, when I am in the portal, it seems that the University of Washington has not received my application. There is no way to check or have any updates on my application, and I am unable to create a network email account. Has anyone had a similar problem that can help?
@Jbjuanfeld Maybe you could email the admissions office?
did anyone get the email from UW today? Also, as an in-state IB Student with a low gpa do i have a chance?
