I should get my financial aid this week. They need verification documents but they said they could get an award to me before that. For those of you who did get financial aid, was it a good mount?

I’m prettttyyy happy with my package

Npat89, my daughter got her application complete email April 2, got her acceptance April 18th! Seems to be not much rhyme or reason? She had submitted everything but the supplement, though. I sent her final paperwork, taxes and such, Monday, but waited to do the CSS Profile till she got the letter because I hate that thing! Can anyone let me know it the financial aid package was close to the EFC? that’s really all we’re waiting on! If it’s within a couple thousand of that, we can do it. If it’s way over, no way, If it’s way under, we might still be able to go on a vacation in the next 3 years!

is Vanderbilt admissions need aware?

My award was only a couple thousand above my EFC so I am very pleased. Thy base it on the CSS profile more I think. I don’t thin admissions is need-aware because I was accepted and got a Tom of financial aid

Ok that seems pretty good. I got mine on April 12th so if it takes ~16 days like ur daughter’s did then i should receive my decision by saturday.

Does anyone know if the second round of acceptances went out this week?

I got that email on the 11th so maybe I’ll get it soon as well

What’s up guys,

I am an international student from University of Wisconsin.

Since my permanent address is back in Asia, I received an e-mail from Vanderbilt

today. (My acceptance was made in April 17th)

I am so excited!!

GPA 3.7/4.0

EC: Lot of volunteer works and many others

I just had a quick question since in the acceptance later there was something like I should

send a final transcript and I should maintain the academic grades I have shown before.

The thing is I think I am going to get a B for one subject which will turn my fall semester

GPA to 3.57, would this affect my chance for acceptance?

Good luck to all of you guys, I bet eveything will turn well!

^Slowbro congratulations. I don’t think it will affect your acceptance.

Just curious, what was your SAT score?

Thanks for the reply!

I think it was about 2060ish? I can check but it is similar to that!

@slowbro when did u receive the email saying ur application is complete and ready to review?

Has anybody else not received an email confirmation stating their application was complete? I got an incomplete email because they hadn’t received my SAT’s yet (they were on the way), but I haven’t received anything else.

hey sorry to deviate but im still waiting for the decision and Im nervous about admission. I got into UNC and I have to decide soon if I should send the deposit or keep waiting on VandyCould you guys just do me a favor and give me your honest opinion?

did not request financial aid, not sure if Vanderbilt transfer admissions is need aware or if thats a boost

@slowbro, congratulations!
I am an international student too, does vanderbilt send all the international decisions via email no matter if you are in the states or not? I thought they are going to send the decision to your mailing address if you are in the us.

@ asap69: I never received an email confirming that my application was complete, but my counselor told me that my application was complete via the phone. That was in February when I submitted the application. So, you should check with your counselor if you are curious. I think that would be best.

@dhaber1: Your stats look good, but, if I were you, I would send the deposit if the deadline is nearing. I wouldn’t pass up a done deal for a possibility, especially since admission decisions will be rolling through August. At the end of the day, everyone on this site can tell you that everything looks great, but we are really not qualified to give a definitive yes or no. Good luck.

@doublethetrouble thanks for the tips, sent my deposit earlier today, just really anxious for when I’ll hear back from Vandy- I got the complete application email on april 11 and im just hoping I’ll hear back about my decision by the end of the semester

Waitlisted…

Did you get a letter today?

Yeup, I did.
