@CaptTShannan‌ just got the email

@CaptTShannan‌ you’ll get an answer soon, don’t stress!

@messedupschool‌ Haha, what did it say?

This wait is so stressful! I just want to know if I got in…

I got an email as well, then I checked online and it was up! I hope you all find out soon!

@CaptTShannan‌ Just that my admission decision is available online

So… so far how many people got the decision & where did they apply?
Anyone heard from CAS? I have a really bad feeling that i havnt heard from CAS…Ive heard some poeple got it …

@capttshannan I wouldn’t worry too much. I haven’t received mine either. It seems like the majority of decisions haven’t been released yet so there is still hope

ACCEPTED VANDERBILT ENGINEERING!!!

Accepted to CAS; you can look at my stats through my past threads.

On the other hand, it looks as though I received 2300 in work study as my TOTAL FINANCIAL AID PACKAGE, while my family only makes 100k with two dependent children both in college… so I’ll have to call and see what’s up.

Just got accepted today!!!
I am so excited right now!!!
Love Vandy so much~
Stats:

College GPA: 4.00 (from top 40 U)

Good luck, every one!

Forgot to say my SAT was only 2000+ (1300)

Well, it’s 5:30 and I haven’t heard anything…expecting the worst :frowning:

Got accepted to Vanderbilt CAS! :)

But I am most likely attending U Michigan! GO BLUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! :D

For everyone waiting, good luck with your apps! I wish everyone could make it. Any views on UMich vs Vandy for Economics Major?

@banker92‌ Im admitted to UMich too! But they gave me a terrible financial aid so I dont think im going there :stuck_out_tongue: Waiting for vandy…Ugh. It seems like they are releasing all the decisions for CAS and I havent gotten it,

@banker92 Umich absolutely has better econ deparment, which is one of the best among the country. If you wanna work in a finance industry or sth, Ross is also a good choice

I was admitted to Vanderbilt today! Very excited!

I want to post for everyone who is still waiting for decisions and let you know what I know because I know I was frustrated and curious waiting.

So today around noon, I checked my VU portal and it changes when your decision is available. The homepage is just has in big letter “Congratulations! You have been admitted to Vanderbilt University!” and there are a few new tabs available to look at.
I got an email around 1:00 PM today also that said that my decision would be available on my VU portal page, Saturday 4/19 and that I will be able to access my financial aid award when it is ready through my portal page. Obviously, this email was not completely accurate since I was able to see my decision already. My guess is that they send out the emails altogether and then post people’s decisions online at different times during the day, but I am not sure.

Obviously, cost is very important for me so the first thing I looked at after I saw my decision was my financial aid. For me, the portal still had the “Financial Aid” tab to select and looks the exact same as it did when I applied (just has checked off what they received). There is also a new tab called “Estimated Attendance Cost” which lists out all of the semester fees and shows the total to be $62,000 a semester! Woo hoo! So for me, my financial aid has not been posted; however, I expected that because my FAFSA was sent in March but my CSS was only sent a week ago. They gave me until May 3rd to accept my admission so I called and talked to my admissions counselor explaining that I cannot accept my admission until I recieve my financial aid package. She gave me financial aid counselor (apparently we all have a financial aid representative and an admissions counselor, so once we are admitted, our information is sent to financial aid and they calculate our grants). My admissions counselor explained that since my CSS was received late my financial aid has not been calculated yet and my financial aid counselor is out of the office until Monday but if I call her on Monday, she will be able to give me my financial aid information.

So in summary, for those of you still waiting…It seems like you will receive an email when your decision is available; however, the timing of the email is a little delayed from when your decision is posted. Also, most people should receive their financial aid packages with their admittance but if you do not see a reward, it could mean that your package has been delayed but if you contact your financial aid representative, they should be able to help you.

I hope all of this information helps to alleviate some of the questions that those of you still waiting still have. I know I was anxious about what to expect with a decision so now you know!

Congratulations to everyone who was admitted today and best of luck to everyone still waiting! I have my fingers crossed for all of you!
I’ll keep everyone posted with my decision.

@StanfordTree‌ what were your stats? I applied to the school of Engineering too

I think UMich is better for business overall because of Ross. I’m coming from another big10 school with a comparable business school to UMich, but I just don’t like the feel of my current school (and expect Mich to be similar) and think Vandy is a much better fit. Vandy’s econ program is still very good in my opinion though.

My page is still the same…does it mean I am still in the pool for CAS?
