IDOC is a CSS Profile (college board) service some CSS Profile schools subscribe to where you mail in your tax and other related documents for the schools to pull your tax forms to compare to what you said on the CSS. DS had one school where we sent it directly to the school, 6 others who used IDOC, and 2 who apparently consider us trustworthy with regard to our CSS profile information.

Okay, Vanderbilt only requires the IDOC if you’re accepted.

Don’t freak out about the priority date guys! They extended the priority date to April 15th, so if some things are missing you have a lot of time! I submitted my common app on march 11, but am still waiting for some things to be processed!

Why did they extend the deadline by a month?

That’s a relief. Then again, I guess it also means we won’t have our decisions as early as planned.

I checked, and it says that decisions will still be available mid-April. So that’s a plus!

I’m really thinking that very few people are applying and that’s why they extended the deadline, lol. Probably not, but whatever.

@transfergirl818, what are your stats?

@CaptTShannan
Stats:

HS GPA: Unweighted - 3.95; Weighted - 5.21 ( I think) I took 10 aps and 2 courses at my local cc)
Class rank: 3 out of six hundred and something
SAT: 2020
College GPA: FS - 4.0 a top 40 school
EC’s: I started a nonprofit club at my HS, was nationally ranked in hs debate ( i was really involved in debate in hs), works 2 job as a waitress & at american eagle, was a fellow for organizing for america, and in college im involved in a leaders fellowship & business clubs.

I’m applying to Peabody for Human & Organizational Development! I hope to get in I want to go into marketing and management and think the program would be ideal!

@transfergirl818, wow! Those are some impressive stats!

Ugh, I’m worried that applying from Mizzou is going to hurt me. It’s the thing I’m most worried about because it’s only 97th in the country. Everything else I feel fairly confident about, though.

@captTShannon, I wouldn’t worry about it. They’ll look @ high school too because they’re only seeing 1 college gpa (and you did really well, so it shows you can succeed in college!) And doesnt mizzou have a great english/journalism program? i know someone who went there on scholarship for that.

@transfergirl818, their journalism program is renown and their English program is alright, too, I guess. I’m sure it’s nothing. I just notice all of you guys applying from top 20, 40, and 60 universities and I’m just like, “Yep, state school.”

Lol, but thanks! It makes me feel better knowing someone else thinks it won’t matter. I just get too paranoid sometimes, haha.

@CaptTShannan I’m coming from a school ranked #142 in USNWR, so I think you’re fine. When Vandy says they prefer applicants to be coming from a school “similar” to Vandy, I think they mean any accredited 4-year university/college.

…and I STILL haven’t received my MyAPP account. Wth is taking them so long???

@Juvenis when did you apply? I haven’t received mine either!

I can’t believe you guys haven’t gotten it yet. I literally got mine the day after I submitted my application. Maybe try contacting your representatives?

I just checked my email and mine came today, I’m guessing it came later because I submitted my application on Saturday. Anyway, so excited, good luck everyone!!

Same. I just got it today and all my materials are present. Thank goodness.

Yeah I submitted it the night of March 14, so that’s probably why.

Glad to hear that you got them!

@Celtic02, what are your stats?

@CaptTShannan
my stats
- hs gpa: 3.95
top 10% (highest they do)
sat: 2020
ec’s: varsity athlete (captain), 12 seasons
founded a club
held leadership positions in a few
worked throughout high school
long time volunteer at 2 organizations
AP’s: 5 on AP Calc AB…thats the only one I took I didn’t really challenge myself in high school haha - college gpa: 3.85 (calc II accounts for most of that .15)
dean’s list all semesters
ec’s: in a a number of clubs and hold leadership in 2 of them
I’m coming from a state school, but it’s the top public school in my state so I’m not really worried about that. I just wish Vandy did a “why vandy” or some other supplement besides the EC or work experience…Vanderbilt is my top choice, but I just don’t feel like they really know anything about me or how much I want to go there…oh well haha

Applying to Peabody for secondary ed/math

here’s hopin’ … haha

@Celtic02

Wow, amazing! Yeah, my high school had just been approved for Calc AB my senior year, so I took it and only got a 2, but oh well. And I did a Vandy specific essay for the sole purpose of I wanted Vanderbilt to know exactly why I was transferring, and that I wasn’t just applying there for the heck of it.

Will you be entering as a junior?
