[official] waiting room

Neogop: I know now! I just saw the other thread, and I swear I had a mild heart attack. 7 days was too little to begin with. I’m getting so excited already. xD I

Don’t die anyone please.
Just a bit over a day left, we can survive it.
loses all self control and runs around with head in hand

lol, I am super excited I get a thrill when I click that button to see my decision regardless of whether I am in or not, btw how many schools did u apply to?

I applied to 12.
@Adriana- Maybe it just depends on the country/availability then.

@collegesgirl

I applied to 11, one safety (my statu uni, to which I’ve been accepted). The rest, with the exception of NYU, fall under CC’s Ivy, Top LAC, or Top Uni charts, and I wasn’t the top-notch academic candidate to begin with.

This is nerve-wrecking…

My only safeties are Indian univs :-/ Intl’ needing FA from the one of the most competitive countries.
■■■

Same for me, I applied to 5 here in the UK, I have been accepted to my top choice. But it’s really only a backup because going to America is my ultimate dream.

Applied to 10 US places.

I’m not really even nervous, I’m just excited!!

So considering it took some people over 6hrs to receive EA decisions, what do you predict will be the longest wait? 6hrs past would make it 5AM where I’m at.

If it’s any help, I was Central Time Zone for EA. There were some server issues at 3 PM (central) when decisions were released. A lot of the time the server would time out, but I just kept refreshing. Eventually, it loaded and I got my decision ~4:10. Expect the servers to get rushed, but it really ought not take 6 hours. Maybe an hour or two.

Well. This is does not bode well for me. I think I was better not knowing!

gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what? The date’s…TOMORROW? LOLWUT?

lol
My own internet is as likely to screw up as their servers :P

D: D: D: How am I supposed to study for my math test knowing that tomorrow UChi decisions go up? I mean, I’m 100% sure I’m going to be rejected, but still. D: D: D:

Its 4 am, and I’m stalking CC instead of studying stupid data structures for my exam X-(

Decisions come out at 2pm on Saturday, my time.

On Saturdays I work in a fruit shop. The shop is meant to close at 1pm, but it never does, because annoying customers always come in after 1pm.

There is a particularly annoying lady who comes in EVERY WEEK, WITHOUT FAIL, at 1.45pm, just as we are about to shut the doors. She then takes about 20 minutes choosing her fruit before getting me to put it through the register.

After the last customer goes, there is about 45 minutes of cleaning and packing up to be done.

Tomorrow, I’m going to have to take some strong sedatives or something, or else that annoying woman is going to get killed. ANYONE WHO PREVENTS ME FROM GETTING TO MY DECISION BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO ACCEPT THAT WE CLOSE THE SHOP AT 1PM IS GOING TO HEAR IT FROM ME.

I just hope I don’t get fired… and then rejected.

OR you could pretend to be sick and return early? :S
Nobody gets hurt :P

@totallysunshine: In my time, it’s going to be 1am morning. I would be chilling with my friends who also applied to Chicago from Friday night, have some red labels and jack daniels, and check the decision all together!

I’m not too confident in my chances but if I’m rejected, life goes on! It wasn’t meant to be then.

I’m probably the only one who has applied within a 300 kms radius :stuck_out_tongue:
But all my best friends will be online :stuck_out_tongue: I’ve distributed all the decisions between my best friends so that I get to check only 1 and any accidental spoiler emails :D

As far as it taking 6 hours to check the decision, it took me only 20 minutes. I went to the local university (I was at work there), and the internet connection is excellent there. I started refreshing the page about five minutes before decisions came out and refreshed a bunch for about 15 minutes after they were released… Maybe starting refreshing the page early makes it easier to get a connection to the sever… idk Just don’t depend on the email they send you, try to keep calm, and keep your mouse on the refresh button.

Good luck, everyone!!! I have about ten friends applying this year, so I’m really invested in it!
