Official waitlist cal poly slo

Does anyone know when we are supposed to be notified of our acceptance or rejection?

Freshmen will be notified by May 15.
Transfers will be notified by July 15.

^ thanks alot

well in that case, has anyone heard back yet?

Yes.
Two in this thread.

did they send in emails or something explaining how CP was their first choice or something?

One person did(slowaitlist), and the other person(my friend), did not.

Is there any other way of checking our status(other than the myCalPoly portal)? For some other schools they had other methods of knowing whether or not they got in.

I guess you could call admissions. Generally the status on an admissions page is updated first, then the email is sent, then a letter is sent by post. So as far as I know, the portal is quickest and most reliable. What other methods have you heard of?

Haha, I dont think admissions is allowed to tell students by phone…Ive tried many times before, trust me :]

I dont know of any other way; or another college I applied to, there was a backdoor method of checking. I was wondering if there was one for Cal Poly.

I tried both CSUmentor and the Poly VIP page; neither had anything useful as far as admissions status, and I can’t thing of any other back door. 6 days left…

Well, they have to tell us within these 6 days left right?

Right. And, seeing as their office schedule is Mon-Fri, my guess would be that the decisions will come out during the week.

My son will be giving up a spot at the business school this week. He was accepted from the waitlist at UCSB over the weekend.

Has anyone heard anything?

Nothing yet… The last communication I received from Poly was the response to my letter over two months ago.

**einnob, are you *not *going to USC? Or will it depend on if you get off the waitlist at Cal Poly? **

“You have not been selected for admission to Cal Poly.”

Ouch . . .

^ same-didnt wanna go there anyways so whatever

I’m happy with my school, U of Miami, but I really liked Cal Poly. And it would have been much much easier to go to SLO rather than across the country to Florida. Nothing I can do to change their decision though so I’ll quit whining about it.

TO ALL…GOD CLOSES ONE DOOR AND OPENS ANOTHER! My son did not get in. I do have this to say to everyone that got denied, there is a reason for it who knows you might discover a cure for CA, build a bridge, discover an alternative source of energy or find your life partner at the school you end up at !!! Good luck in life to all! Soccer 14’s mom out.
