got into chicago( but was never a top choice)…waitlist at duke( top choice after rejecton from stanford)

grrr…serioauly…the ppl I know( in my classes) that accepted ( no offense to anyone, but just my personal expeicne) are solid on paper but not really what one would call intelligent. At this point, I’d rather be an empty head and get into duke than otherwise( not implying i’m intelligent)…sorry for any offense…just REALLY frustrated with who I personally know that got in…

sigh…looks like it’s going to be chicago now. really, i DON’T WANT TO GO THERE. :(:(:(. ok.sorry guys. done complaining, I’ll shutup now.

In at UNC-instate, OOS UVA and Vandy… waiting on Harvard… not expecting to get in though. Not sure which to choose…do you think In state UNC over OOS UVA???

WL at Duke and WashU, but accepted into Stanford so that makes up for it.

Just sent in my WL card…

gosh, Im really hoping they take a bunch of people off this year! I reaaaaaly want to go to Duke!

Are you guys sending in your most recent grades? I dunno if I should, my grades dropped a bit (B in calc) so it wouldn’t exactly improve me app (unless everyone else has major senioritis)

Waitlisted here as well =(. I’ll try to send in my updated grades, recent activities, and a letter of interest. Hopefully, everything works out.

i speculate that they will take more people off the waitlist this year

applications rose by 30% but its not like the population increased ;)

According to the NYTimes, Duke has over 3000 on its waiting list … why so many?

[You’re on the Waiting List. Now What? - The Choice Blog - NYTimes.com](You're on the Waiting List. Now What? - The New York Times)

^^^ Oh wow that just ruined some confidence I had. However, I think somewhere between 1000 and 1500 will actually decide to stay on the waitlist.

Yale only retains about 2/3 of those offered WL spots, so I’d think Duke would be even less. Usually about 1000 people take a spot, I think
