[] Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.83 (a couple Bs in my senior midyear =/ )
[] Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): N/A
[] AP (place score in parenthesis): US History (5), English Lang. (5), US Gov’t (5), Macroeconomics (5), World History* (4), European History* (5), Psychology* (4), Comparative Gov’t* (5) (self-studied APs)

[/ul]
Subjective:[ul]
[] Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Human Service Club (Vice President), Latin Honor Society (Vice President), Academic Team (Captain), 3 years of JV Bowling, FBLA (Treasurer; cancelled this year), NHS (economics/history tutor), school committee to improve school performance
[] Job/Work Experience: Tutor at Kumon (3 years)
[] Volunteer/Community service: Hindu rights group volunteer, Hindu Youth Group (in-charge of meals), head teacher for afterschool program chess class
[] Summer Activities: JSA Princeton (summer after 9th), Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar NJ (10th), Boy’s State (11th), Ivy Scholars at Yale (11th), internship at a prestigious publication (11th)
[] Essays: CommonApp was memorable, albeit somewhat facetious at times
[] Teacher Recommendation: TBH – no idea
[] Counselor Rec: Umm?
[] Additional Rec: my boss from my internship (likely very strong)
[] Interview: Really great! My interviewer and I had a lot in common (interests, majors, etc.), and she and I both agreed that I’d be an excellent fit for WUSTL. A lot of people talk about showing interest with WUSTL, and honestly, I thought I had well accomplished that with my interview. Guess not? Of course, I could just stink.
[/ul]
Other[ul]
[] State (if domestic applicant): New Jersey
[] Country (if international applicant):
[] School Type: Run-of-the-mill public
[] Ethnicity: Asian - Indian
[] Gender: Male
[] Income Bracket: $120k+
[] Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): Beautiful hair?
[/ul]
Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: My internship (had my own article published), self-studying APs (never done in my school)
[] Weaknesses: GPA, mid-term senior grades (ended up with a B- and B+ for calc/physics), somewhat unrobust ECs
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Probably a combination of GPA/midyear senior grades and the fact that Olin is pretty competitive.
[] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: deferred from Princeton SCEA, accepted to Rutgers Honor’s College (safety). All my other schools won’t be coming out until later this month (March 28th’s the D-Day!)
[/ul]
General Comments:
Congratulations to those who got in! WUSTL wasn’t my utmost top choice, but it certainly was very high in consideration. I was honestly incredibly optimistic about WUSTL after my interview. Good luck to us waitlisters/rejectees, I’m sure we’ll all find our way, whether it be getting off WUSTL waitlist or going to another equally great school.

Decision: Accepted

[/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Test scores, essays, recs

[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: As for GPA, I think my senior year 1st semester grades saved me! Also, I thought I would be rejected because they’re not need-blind, and I think I would have been waitlisted if I hadn’t visited

Hopefully other schools will realise I am doing two systems at the same time and will accept me even if I have a low SAT! Congrats to people who got in and lets keep our fingers crossed for those (like me) who havent had any acceptances yet.

[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Eh, I guess I passed their standards in terms of objectives and that something (although I don’t know what) in my subjectives made them accept me.
[li] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: A:Grinnell College, UCSB haven’t heard back from anywhere else[/li][/ul][ b]General Comments:** Did not know that decisions were coming out today, definitely surprised me! Although I didn’t expect to get in, I wasn’t altogether too surprised by the decision. Cost might be something of an issue because I probably won’t get much aid, and I think I might want a slightly smaller school, but overall very happy and excited! And I’d just like to add that for people who may have not gotten acceptances, that getting accepted or rejected or waitlisted to a college in no way denotes any value about you as a person, and that college is really much more about what you put in to it rather than what specific college you choose to attend.
