im thinking it might not come out till friday because they said that they would mail the decision on the 15th, not that we would receive it. Doesn’t it usually get posted a few days before we get it in the mail?

Do people have clear second choices after WU? Do any of you plan on applying ED II if you don’t get in if your 2nd choice offers it? Insane to think about but just curious – no virtual screaming at my question please ;-)

I am most likely going to Tulane if I don’t get into WashU. I was going to apply EDII Vanderbilt, but I decided against it because Tulane is really generous with merit aid and it’s close to home.

U of M is my second choice because I live in michigan and it would be really beneficial cost-wise. I applied early action. The only thing I dislike about it is the size (too big). WashU is perfect in that sense.

I’m considering Michigan or Emory as my second choice. I got nominated for the Emory scholars program thing so I already had to send in my application last month. I’ll probably change it to EDII if I get deferred, but I really hope I don’t, I would be so happy to go to Wash U.

For me, I will try applying to Tufts ED2 but I really hope I get into WashU as well.

Also, it will probably be released sometime before Friday. I was told by two of the admissions officers that the decision are supposed to be mailed to us by the 15th not on the 15th. So hopefully its sometime this week.

Yoadee, I hope you are right. Here we go, continuing the countdown to who-knows-when.

I just have a weird feeling that it’ll come out on Friday. Not sure why. Either way, I’m not thinking about it - it’ll do no good.

Why would they hold decisions from us if they have them ready just to keep the Friday tradition alive? This year is an exception because it’s a leap year and possibly because of sandy. I think they’ll post the decisions tomorrow or Tuesday or whenever they’re ready (which better be before Friday since that’s a day before when we should have they by BY MAIL)

maybe they just had a lot of ED applicants this year?

Ok, so today or Friday?

Can we confirm that the decisions will be mailed BY the 15th rather than ON the 15th? Because the website says on the 15th and I think that would mean decisions will be posted online later in the week. If its by the 15th then they could be posted sooner.

I’m hopeful that they will be released before Friday via the Pathway. I really hope that they do that again this year. I know that WHEN decisions are released won’t change the outcome, but I’d really like to get this weight off my chest and know what my future might be like.

I hate to say this guys, but my best guess says we’ll hear on the 14th. Hear me out: yes, the last few years have heard on the 9th or 10th…but those days were the second Friday in December before the 15th. Because of that stupid leap year, that day is the 14th for us. What do you think?

Oh btw I called the people and they said online acceptence is unlikely, but someone should doublecheck?

what do you mean online acceptance is unlikely?
a girl from my school called and they said that they send out rejections first. I didn’t know that.

@lilahtov that would really suck, so I’m just going to hope you’re wrong :|

Anyone check their pathway lately?

That’s what the person I called said but I.really.have no idea. Please doublecheck and what up with the rejections coming first?

@orthodoxyordeath I know it would suck but it makes the most sense. If what @vampyfreak said is true then I guess the later you get your decision the better! Haha.

But the main question is has anyone gotten their acceptences or not?
