Official Yale 2009 Transfers!

I feel so empty and sad, not only because I might have been rejected (very likely), but it’s just that the way schools release admission notifications terrify me because I find it just ghastly cruel and horrible. Why don’t schools release acceptances/rejections on the same day since in this day and age we have forums like these?

haha, no worries exile! they do decisions on a rolling basis, its just more convenient for schools this way. Don’t worry though, you live in a country of opportunity; I’m sure that people in third world nations would think that stressing over admissions notifications would be silly. So cheers up and enjoy.

if you thought this was bad…wait for penn. lol.

Gotta say, I’m with jedimaster. Maybe I don’t have as much room to speak because I already got into another transfer school, but at the end of the day, we’re all going to college, and that’s pretty darn spiffy.

Just received my REJECTION in the mail!!! The mailman just came and I was so excited!!:frowning:
Acceptance rate was 2.5%…over 800 applied and only 20 were accepted…I’m on the East Coast…for those who still haven’t received it…I’m wondering now that Ashcricket was probably right…:frowning: since the letter is dated May 11th…

Just received my letter as well. No dice. Best of luck gentlemen.

“if you thought this thread was bad… wait for penn. lol.”

purge these negative thoughts!!

Yay, got my rejection! There goes another 70 dollars… Argh@#%#^$^@!!!
Oh well, come on Georgetown!

this makes my life a bit simpler… rejected.
Here I come, Columbia.

so did Yale really send out emails to those who got admitted?

that’s what i want to know. some of this under the table info seems a bit dodgy. nonetheless, i find myself refreshing this forum every few minutes.

Ah waitlisted tear

Confirmation that 18 of 800 transfers accepted this year, 3 of which are Intl students.

Did all of them get emails?

wow entomom, thanks for sharing!
Is that true that if I have not gotten anything by now that means I am rejected?
I am international student and it might take a while for the mail to arrive.

Sorry, I don’t have any information about how/when people are being notified.

Where did these statistics come from about 3 international students, and 18 overall?
I have already been accepted at my top choice but an acceptance from Yale might change things! Haha! What a terribly low admit rate!
I am an international…

hey claire06 where are you from?

I’m from ‘Down Under’, i.e. Australia. Where are you from? Did you get into Dartmouth?

The info came from Jill Cutler via an '08 transfer student I know very well ;).
