Oh man...I'm freaking out

So, I've gotten the most contradicting information from the counselors and career center counselors at my school. Half are saying that I should take Math II, and half are saying I don't have to.

I took US and Lit today for the SAT IIs. I think I did well. I SUCK at math like [insert appropriate analogy]. That's how much I suck.

I don't want to risk getting a low score when I have two subjects I could (and hopefully did) rock.

But half my friends are saying, "If you even want to be considered by a UC, take math II."

Me: "But...I'm majoring in anthropology..."

Them: "Take it."

Am I ruining my chances to Cal, UCSD, and privates such as Pitzer, Pepperdine, and USC (and yeah...Stanford) by not taking it?

If u suck THAT much.. don't take it.

no, but honestly, take math 2c. u will definitely do better. because it's stuff you're supposed to have learned in high school math, and they water it down. the math 1c, however, is hard, because it's basic math and you either get it or you dont. seriously, look through CC and youll see plenty of ppl who took math1 thinking it was "easier" but ended up doing badly. math2c is better, even if and especially if u didn't do so hot on SAT1math.

All the colleges say they consider your best scores, so basically they're saying it doesn't matter. Plus, if you're going to take Math, I'm pretty sure they only take your TWO best scores, therefore (by the looks of it :P) your math score wont be higher than your US or Lit scores, therefore TECHNICALLY it's a moot point. However, who knows what the admissions people are thinking... so I guess it's a gamble either way
