I was just wondering who applied for the OLAP scholarship at Case. I had to bug my teacher all day to get him to fax it today! :) Anyway, how fast do you expect them to notify us if we are semi-finalists? I know the letter said something about that, but I'm not sure how fast they will actually process the scholarship applications. I have to let my teacher know in case he has to come up with me on the interview day.

This is only for Ohio residents, correct?

Jediknight05 - Correct!

Chelsea2005 - my son applied. Sixteen scholarships out of 750 applicable students is a longshot, but for any extra money I think it's worth a try. Good luck!

Thanks. Good luck to your son too!

Hey guys! I got the letter yesterday saying I was a finalist in the competition. Has anyone else received this letter? Also, for anyone who is a finalist, are you taking your teacher with you to the April 1 interview? I think I'm going to (poor Mr. R :) ). Haha! Anyway, I would love to hear from everyone who applied.

chelsea 2005 - Congratulations! My son was not chosen as a finalist, but we really didn't think he would be. Good luck to you. I would definately recommend that you bring poor Mr. R., I really think it would help with your chances. Are you going to Case for sure?

If I can afford it, I will definately be going to Case. I love everything about it! I wasn't really expecting to be a finalist because of the odds, but I think my letter of recommendation helped. My teacher, Mr. R, spent a lot of time on it. I pretty sure that we will be dragging him along with us. :) The two of us get along really well, and when I mentioned it before he was OK with it. Oh well, it will be a fun trip! :D
