Ohio State Transfer?

Hey. I plan on going to a CC (community college) for a year and then I want to transfer to OSU. They accept a bit more than 3/4 of the students who apply so they have a pretty high transfer rate. I want to go to the Columbus campus. I also plan on going to med school.

I am still in HS and my gpa is not that great. My junior year (this year) will be high and I'm taking honors as well this year as with next year. SAT's are high (2100) ACT is 30, but my GPA will wind up being around 3.2 by the time I graduate. Bottom line is, OSU won't accept me.

I am just wondering if anyone else on here has transfered to OSU or a school of the same calibre (Maryland, Rutgers:NB, etc, etc.). And is it fairly easy to transfer from a local CC? I am out of state, but I do not think that should really be much of a problem (I can afford to go to OSU).

It says on their website that if you have completed 30+ hours, they don't need SAT's and stuff. However, does this also mean 30+ hours IN PROGRESS? If it doesn't then I guess that means I would have to FINISH one year, and then apply in the fall of my second year at the CC? That doesn't seem right. I've actually looked at a lot of schools and one states "or IN PROGESS". It is weird.

ALSO, it says on their website that if you have 30+ hours, etc, then when you apply to Columbus your app will be looked at on a competitive basis? What does this mean? Is it good or bad? It seems that student who have 30+ hours do not need to send as much info to OSU as a student who has only done 1 semester somewhere.

Advice...?

Ummmm, I HATE to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure you'll get into OSU without any problems. lol

i think osu's admission rate is a lie...they accept like 80% lol

you'll be in no prob

I kind of figured. Thanks guys.
