Ohio U vs. Maryland for Journalism?

I was recently accepted into the Magazine Journalism sequence (which is part of their Journalism program) at Ohio University. Maryland was my first choice, until I was accepted to UMD but not into the journalism program. Ohio would be much cheaper for me to attend, but I would generally just prefer to go to the school that is more high regarded in the field. Another factor might be that I want to work in a major city, not in the middle of no where.

Which school is better for a career in journalism? Should I take the gamble and go to Maryland, though I'm not sure that I'll ever be accepted into the program?

Thanks for the opinions!

The Ohio J-School is a good one -- Don't know much about the UMD one except that they probably have good connections to internships and other opportunities in Washington, the news-making capital of the world. Check those out before you decide. That may help in your decision -- otherwise, Ohio's got a great reputation, especially for print journalism.
