I have been having trouble with literature so far, but it seems hopeful for me. Is it just me or does Barron's Lit test not completely reflect the real thing? Some questions have answers that are true only for a thread of reason, nothing solid.

Anyway, my scores for the first two

1) 39 Raw score, 43 right /60
2) 41 raw score, 45 right /60

These translate into between 650-670ish.

What can i expect for the actual test? I did searches on these questions here before, but none gave a real solid answer, so any input is greatly appreciated.

Barrons does have some sketchy answers. I'd say expect to do better on the real thing, maybe mid-700's or so. I think I was scoring around the same as you were on the practice tests, and I got a 770. Best of luck.

Its stupidly hard, nothing that will improve your comprehension, just elevate your frustration. The answer choices I am getting wrong are all those I would disagree the answer on, or show how other answer choices could have worked even better than their's.

Is Kaplan any better? And does it truly represent your score?

i'm getting scores like yours akahmed.... maybe a little higher - around 690-710... raw score of 42-46? i'm not sure how i'll do!!! i'm really nervous... cuz i'm aiming for a 750... any opinions?

I know Barron's is trying to prepare us better, but there are times when better becomes unnecessary,

I actually do believe I will do really well, (though I'm nervous as hell), because if you can score there with al these ambiguities and subtleties, then CBs exam should be easier.

EDIT: Then again it depends on the passages and poems we will get, those that may click or not, it is possible nothing clicks, or that everything does, but usually in between.

Well, good luck to those already taking it (or done) on the East Coast and the Midwest, and good luck to those on my West Coast. Tell us how you did!
