ALRIGHT, I GoT LIKE 700 on math and writing. But I got 400 on CR on the first SAT right. So I studied from morning to night, everyday, just Critical Reading, and I now get 650 on CR. But then I took practice tests on Barron's, and I'm getting like 500-550. I kept taking the Barron's tests, and I kept getting around 500s! WTHECK!

DO NOT WORRY,
Barron's sucks

I got 800 on real SAT, when I'd gotten 650 at Barron's practice test.

In Barron, there's no logic that can be logically deduced as easy as the real SAT one. So, don't give a sh** to Barron.

which book do you prefer?

I preferred nothing except bluebook..because, all the other prep books made me nuts.

Kaplan made me insane.
PR allured me with easiness, yet totally failed to predict my real SAT score.
Sparknotes's score just swung by itself.
Mc-grawHill killed me with other test format
Barron shattered me with cryptic words.

Only bluebook gave me good judgement, and gave me skills to solve the questions.

So, if you run out of the tests, buy online tests and do it.

Then, you will be saved from the murderous hands of SAT monster( I think I have seen this statement in some other prep book... I wonder what that is..)

use blue book and Q&A only

practicing anything else just makes you worse (seriously)

Uh no it doesn't.. I practiced with PR and from it CR and Writing for freaking easy on the real thing

is barron's actually that bad? it does over prepare you, but it's good cuz then you can do better on the real thing, right?

haha peteyflow, you're just like me.

I used Barron's 2400 the 2007 edition and i thought it was a fantastic book. The passages and questions are alot harder than the real SAT but the strategies you learn from the book and how it applies to tough questions like that will get you prepared for the SAT. I know when i took the SAT i could finish the questions fast. The answers just pop out at you after you use Barron's. Just my two cents
