i used waiting for godot!..and i wrote like 3 pages…for each…

I thought the multiple choice was of medium difficulty, the iceberg passage and the last passage (with all the love, haha) were fairly hard, and the rest were pretty easy to understand. There were definitely a few really hard questions, and a good amount of medium-hard questions. A fair few people thought the MC was “a joke” but I didn’t feel that way… ugh.

I wrote the third essay first, then the second, and then the first haha. I used The Namesake for the open prompt, and thought that it was actually the weakest of my three essays. The Shakespeare “poem” went well, I thought, and I really liked the prose passage they gave us! I felt that I did a good job with it.

Overall, I’m hoping for a 5, but it seems like since everyone thought the MC was so easy, that I probably didn’t get a 5 since I know I got a good amount wrong and didn’t omit any.

yeah the third essay was def my worst

what kind of scores do you need to get a 5 if you did decently on the mc
like 3 6s or 5s at least or something

^Totally agree ChandlerBing. I got a 790 on SAT II lit and I thought the MC wasn’t as easy as everyone said it was. Some of the questions were fairly challenging. Also hoping for a 5, but unsure about how I did on the essays.

The third essay question made me pretty excited, since I just wrote a thesis paper on Heart of Darkness about two months ago, so I basically rewrote my thesis and condensed it a little. The first two essays were okay, but I dunno. I felt like I kept repeating myself.

Zlyice: I deff felt like I was repeating myself on the first couple of essays. I hope I wasnt though =/ I really want to get a good score on this exam. The third essay was best one I think.

The essays were hell for me. I used Invisible Man for the last essay.
The MC wasn’t as bad as I thought. It went from hard to easy for me.

I am still confused…same test for everyone?

I’m usually do really well on essays, but today I guess I was just nervous with the first two. I’m just glad that it is over. Do you guys have a semester exam in your AP class now that the exam is over? I have heard that some people don’t. I still do, but my teacher said it wasn’t going to be too hard.

Kalodie1: Yes its the same test for everyone.

I used Heart of Darkness for the third essay. My first essay was pretty good and my second was crap. The MC was suspiciously easy.

The MC was pretty easy i thought, though there were like 3 problems where i thought two answers worked. The essays i thought i did rather well on: shakespeare was easy, the prose was a fun passage to write about, and I used Gatsby for the last one. Overall, i hate to be arrogant, i think that I definitely got a 5.

I thought that the prose multiple choice were easy, along with the first poem. I had a little trouble with the last “Shakespeare-like” poem and the iceberg one as well. I thought the essays were a piece of cake, and I literally smiled when I saw the 3rd prompt. I wrote 3 pages for each essay :]

nope no final for me!! :)

ohimtired: So lucky! I wish I didnt have a final, it would be soo great.

you’llsee…: Yea the MC was really easy…almost too easy. lol

No final in any of my classes! (except for math and french…)

How many APs do you all have left? I have APUSH tomorrow and Physics on Monday. I was so relieved at the Lit exam was over, but now I’m just nervous for tomorrow.

I just had Lit this year. Taking it easy…even though I would have loved to take AP Chem this year.

Yeah. AP Chemistry is a great class. I took it last year and loved it.

At my school, if you take an AP exam, then you’re exempt from taking the final exam, regardless of your grade level.

In the end, I have one actual semester test, and that’s it.

The MC was moderately difficult - some passages were fairly easy, and some were more complex and unclear.

As for the third essay, I used 1984. I would assume that’s not considered a 9th or 10th grade work, because it was on the suggested list, and because the subject matter is a bit more mature than Animal Farm, which is a 9th or 10th grade work.

shs1992: Yea I loove Chem. The science teachers at my school are amazing, I just couldnt fit into my schedule.

collegehelllp: That would be awesome. I would love that rule.

amciw: I really like 1984, I thought that it was great.
