<p>i missed the deadline to financial aid to colleges and im planning to write them that i dont need financial aid anymore (i initially said that i do). will this hurt my chances of getting in?</p>

<p>I would CALL the financial aid office, apologize for missing the deadline, and tell them that you are FedExing it to them immediately. </p>

<p>Include in the FedEx'd envelope a Post It note with one or two lines that say something like: Again, I am very sorry that I missed this deadline. Mr. Jones told me that you will still accept this form. My other forms will all be submitted on time.</p>

<p>Then keep your word.</p>
