omit transcripts or stay another year at a cc to transfer?

I currently have a 3.9 GPA at my current college with 27 units completed (I should mention though that I have 4 W's and have lined out an F at my current college.). Last summer, I took some courses at a different cc but received a C for one, F for another. Received another F in another summer course at another cc. (I was earning unsatisfactory grades from the beginning of the course and stupidly refrained from completing assignments and taking exams even after the deadline for withdrawals passed. I don't know why the one professor gave me a C and not a failing grade, to be honest.)
This fall, I tried to retake those courses at the respective colleges but I faced a similar outcome: F and W at the first college, W at the second college. I had a total of 42 units combined between the three colleges and could not deal with the tremendous amount of work.

I was honestly considering just omitting the transcripts from those colleges altogether when completing my transfer applications, considering that I have a 3.9 at my current college. However, I do plan to go to grad school so my risk of getting caught for omitting transcripts is higher. Not to mention I received financial aid from the two colleges in which I received those grades.

Now my question is this: Should I take another year to retake all the courses I received W's and F's in, then apply next year? Or should I risk getting caught for the sake of my GPA at my current college?

You don't need to retake classes you have Ws in - they don't factor into GPA. I've got a bunch of Ws and have been accepted everywhere I've applied to (granted, nowhere super-selective.)

I wouldn't worry about two Fs - your GPA will still be quite strong. They're not going to kill you. Just apply and submit everything.

This may not apply if you're trying to get into an Ivy League school or something, but otherwise you should be fine.

Omitting transcripts is stupid. very stupid. dont do it.

What school do u go to and where do u plan on tranferring to does play a role to answer your question. What classes did you fail. If you failed something non-transferable it wouldnt matter so much. If you go to community college not all courses transfer to 4 years, so i would make sure those courses are transferable first b4 freaking out on how they impact your gpa.

And in terms of W's.... i dont think schools care much. I had 19w's and got into UCLA through the california com college system.

19 W's!!!!!!!!

19?! i had 6 and my first college kicked me out.

Omitting transcripts is NEVER a good idea. Colleges & universities may not check Ec's but rest assured they will see and look for ALL your grades. I'm pretty sure you'll be fine, tho. With 2 F's you might get pulled down to a 3.5 but that's still median. Good luck with your apps. :)

^^ yes I agree, ommiting transcripts is never a good idea, however there is NO WAY of them finding out...its not like they have a PI sent out making sure everything is correct...too many students not enough time. Its a morals and ethics decision.

PorcupineTree: One can rack up all the Ws they want at a California community college. They're open enrollment, and the only way you can get academically dismissed from one is to maintain a below-2.0 GPA for more than two semesters.

I attended a law school for a year before i was academically dismissed. i am now applying to a top school in ca. i basically got the thumbs up to start the grad program from the program director. but i never mentioned about my year in law school on my application. i've heard that financial aid of this school can't see my students loan from law school since it is school specific. and on the national clearing house how will the school know which school to search if i didnt state on my application?
