<p>So I signed up for the housing lottery, and my time slot is on the second day at 8pm. I'll be a sophomore next year. </p>
<p>How bad is this time slot if I'm trying to get a single on West without blocking? And what other options are there besides the newer buildings?</p>
<p>it’s really hard to say about what the time slots will be like because it’s never been that sophomores goes first before.
the other options besides the newer buildings are the collegetown dorms or the gothics. I d not know how many singles there are in collegetown, there are lots of singles in the gothics (I’m typing to you from one now). personally I find the singles in the new west campus halls to be uncomfortably puny, whereas you have the possibility of a larger room in the gothics, though it’s not guaranteed.</p>
