On Campus Jobs For Freshmen

<p>I was wondering about what the ideal jobs are for an incoming freshman in CoE, that would have flexible working hours and that would pay well. I'm looking at MechE or EP as my major.
Also I have a few questions and I'd be grateful for any input. :)</p>

<p>I read somewhere that Library jobs are harder to get?
And is working as a Lab assistant interesting and stimulating?
What's so bad about jobs in the food services?</p>

<p>Library jobs can be harder to get because returning student workers receive first priority. Once the staff knows how many more workers they need, then they’ll hire new students (and you’ll probably end up with the less desirable shifts). I worked in Uris my last semester at Cornell and I really enjoyed it.</p>
