So I'm going to have fewer credits than I normally have this semester so I thought about getting a job (hopefully something related to my majors: math and computer science).

However, I do not have a car. Anyone mind sharing any on campus jobs they have?

Are you looking to get a job for financial reasons or more to build a resume with experience in your field?

If the former, in my day I worked at the Book Store (not a Barnes and Noble in those days) and that was really a great job because it paid more than other on-campus jobs and gave me a discount!

FYI, I did see that this “Tell-A-Terp” center advertised having openings (not sure about pay) but it is on campus and since you are on cc, you would probably enjoy talking about what Maryland has to offer (which is great for fundraising)… [The Maryland Fund for Excellence](<a href=“http://www.mdexcellence.umd.edu/center/center_student.cfm]The ”>http://www.mdexcellence.umd.edu/center/center_student.cfm )

If the latter, why not consider doing research on campus?

While the following links don’t show any directly applicable research in your area, they are all under the umbrella of your advising school, so looks good - maybe apply your software skills to write a program that helps organize/sort/present findings of the research that others are doing in these areas; you would be applying a skill relevant to you in an unrelated area which shows your ability to adapt and apply your expertise in various settings…?

Not sure how much this helps, but maybe it get the ball rolling to get others to chime in with ideas…
