From past experience, what is the most wrong that anyone has ever gotten and still gotten an 800 on the real SAT?

doesn't a score of 800 mean that you've gotten all the questions right?

Bell curve.
It depends on which test you take.

actually, I think you can get 1 wrong, but leave 2 blank, im not sure how i know it so don't be on it

You can leave 2 wrong definitely, no matter what test. You can't leave 3 wrong though, because then the minus 1 point will probably be 1 or 2 numbers below the lowest 800

"You can leave 2 wrong definitely, no matter what test."

Are you sure about that??

The CR has a less harsh curve than the math. A -2 most likely won't get you an 800 in math but possibly in CR it could possibly fetch you an 800 if you're lucky.

It varies by test administration...

On the May 06 test, you could:
Omit 3 questions or get 2 questions incorrect
and still get an 800.

On the Jan 06 test, you could:
Omit 2 questions or get 1 incorrect
and still get an 800.

On the June 06 test, unofficially, you could
Omit 4 questions or get 3 incorrect
and still get an 800

I thought if you omit questions then your raw score automatically is less than perfect? (since if you answered the ones that you ommited correctly then only that would bring it nearer to perfect?)

Well keep in mind that if you get one wrong you'll also end up with a less than perfect raw score. Since you don't necessarily need a perfect raw score for a perfect scaled score, you can either omit or answer incorrectly a number of questions. Omitting might actually work in your favor since you don't get that 1/4 point off.

but omitting 1 is worse than actually guessing. look at it this way:

if you guess on one (after eliminating some answers) you have a chance of getting it right. this will only IMPROVE your score. if you miss it it's -1/4

if you leave one blank nothing happens...your score stays the same

Now...if you guessed incorrectly, your raw score would still be the same (or even greater if you got it right ) compared to if you omittied one.
because .75 is rounded up to 1 whole, the same as if you omitted.

and just think, if you got the guess right--which is very possible if you eliminate answers--then your raw score would be better than if you had just left the question blank.

so the way i see it is...guessing is in your favor. correct me if i'm wrong.

^ I think you're right in the case that you're 100% sure that you got every other question correct, except for one. In that case, I guess it would make sense to guess. But if you're unsure of other questions, guessing on one more could tip the scale and give you a minus point.
