Was wondering how this works. I'm told we're limited to 500mb/week? But then somebody said web browsing doesn't affect this. So would regular FTP traffic be counted towards that 500mb? And is there a way i can increase my limit? I'd like to take advantage of the university internet connection. My apartment dl is only 2.5 mb.

Yeah, I’ve been using the Public Network for a week.
There is one statement that confuses me because I have been using it on-campus but am using my bandwidth: "There are no bandwidth restrictions for on-campus usage. For example, if you are using Blackboard on campus, you can download/upload as much information as you need. "

You can increase your limit by buying more bandwidth: https://management.pna.utexas.edu/faqs/buy.html

When it says “On-Campus Usage” it means websites such as Blackboard, utexas.edu, Quest, etc.
