One AP, Full IB?? Help

Hey all, I'm in a slightly unorthodox situation regarding AP Scores. I'm a full IB candidate, and am on track to earning the full IB Diploma. My school only offers one AP class, and the school is basically an IB only high school.

I've never considered taking any AP tests, because I always planned on earning my IB diploma, and scoring high on my IB tests to get college credit.

However in my sophomore year of high school, I was essentially FORCED by my math teachers to take an AP Statistics class so it could "fit our IB schedule". I wanted to take a Pre-Calc class sophomore year, and never take an AP class, but I was forced along with all of my peers to take the AP stats class.

So reluctantly I took the class, and tried my best in the classroom. I ended up with good grades for the class, but didn't really prep for the AP test. I ended up with a bad AP score, but I didn't care too much because I was and still am planning on IB to get me college credits.

HOWEVER, I know some schools want us to report all our AP scores such as the UC's and many other private universities.

I heard that UC schools don't count bad AP scores against you. I also heard conflicting statements, stating that AP scores don't matter during college admissions. But I also heard that they DO. I'm so confused.

So honestly I really don't want to bother spending the money, and sending in a SINGLE, and bad AP score to schools. I'm just happy I earned good grades in that class I was forced to do.

But would it negatively impact me not to send in that SINGLE ap score? College should be able to see that I'm a full IB candidate, who only took one AP class. Would they care if I didn't send in that single score?

Or should I send the score in, because it doesn't count towards admissions?

Please help, this dilemma has been stressing me out quite a bit.

To clarify, if a college requires all scores to be sent it, I’ll definitely send in everything.

My real question was, if they don’t explicitly require the scores to be sent in, if not sending in a single AP score, the only one I ever got, would be a bad idea.

But I realized that there’s nothing to stress about.

The only thing that mystifies me is the question, do AP scores impact admissions at all? I hear so many conflicting responses on this question.
