I've done this a couple times now but it's time to start working on college apps and I'm finalizing my list. I just want opinions...any on my list I have absolutely no shot at? Any others you can suggest? Thanks!

Oh, and if you're going to make suggestions I would greatly prefer schools in a city environment.

can't think of anything else....

Schools:
George Washington U
University of Pittsburgh
Northeastern U
Boston U
U of South Carolina
UNC-Charlotte/UNC-Greensboro (not sure which...safety.)
NC State
Tulane(yep, another one of those free apps...why not?)

I agree with Cuse. While not a safety, State would be reasonably likely. I would advise applying ASAP; they have rolling admissions (or used to, at least).

In the DC area, have you considered American University? GW doesn’t really have a traditional “campus” and doesn’t have a football team or even a lot of “team spirit” support for their basketball teams; I love GW but it does have a different feel from many other colleges. (If you visited and loved it, never mind!)

Yeah, I was thinking State may be a safety, especially since I plan on applying to the college of textiles, which is supposed to be one of the easier departments to get into. As far as I know they don’t have rolling admissions but their EA deadline is Oct 15 and I plan on applying by then.

Midwest mom: I visited and loved it :] I looked around American’s campus and wasn’t impressed, and I also don’t think they offer any type of engineering at all. GW’s campus was what I loved most and was what convinced me I want to go to school in a city.
