<p>My son’s online admission site changed his appointment status from Letter of Assurance to candidate after he received his nomination. Does this mean that they might offer him an appointment or that they will offer him an appointment? Thanks for the help.</p>
<p>Not sure, it seems like a step backwards to me.</p>
<p>They should give him an appointment soon. An LOA is only offered when they are sure they want to admit you. The academy will "lean" on sources to give out nominations to those they want (i.e. LOA applicant, etc.)</p>
