Is this true for Junior transfer students? If so, you have to take the rest of 60 credits solely at UIUC?

I think you can transfer more than 60 credits. You only need one year of residency at UIUC to graduate.

Actually to transfer into UIUC as a junior requires a minimum (not a maximum) of 60 transferable credit hours; if you have more you will get credit for them; if you have less they might still accept you as a transfer but you will be considered as an attempted sophomore transfer for which it is far more difficult to get transfer admission than as a junior.

I might apply for Spring 2006 as a sophomore(4th semester) standing, for College of LAS. I currently have 3.69 cumu college GPA and have some work experiences during Summer break(lab work in a collge and work in pharmacy).
However, my SAT score is 1120, and high school GPA is 3.667.
Do I have a shot?

A 3.69 GPA is fantastic for LAS, but since you're applying for 4th semester standing rather than as a junior transfer, it will depend on how much space is left in that major. I suggest you apply as early as possible.

it definitely depends on if the major is open or closed. keep track of the list here: http://www.oar.uiuc.edu/prospective/ugrad/openclosed_transfer.html

call the school often for updates, too. see if you can petition if its closed.

ps...does anyone know where to find the most recent transfer admissions stastics?
