So I applied as a Transfer to the SOM in the Fall. Regular decision. I haven’t heard anything back, no email, nothing. Im starting to think I got rejected. I just need a decision so I can make a decision on the schools i got accepted too. The deadlines for deposits are appoarching.

I go to QCC (CUNY), getting a AS. 61 credits, 3.6 gpa overall.

I emailed them and they said transfer admissions are rolling until classes are full. Does anyone know when is the last day of decisions?

Im really dissapointed if I didn’t get in. =[

EDIT. So i asked if a decision was made yet and they said they havent even looked at my application. This gives me hope but i reallyy need a decision asapp. >_<:

Bookworm, when I asked them a few weeks ago, they told me decisions would be mailed by April 1st… that’s tomorrow, and I STILL haven’t gotten an email or a letter in the mail. I can’t log in to the paydeposit site, and my application has been complete for about 2 months now. I emailed them again and they told me the same thing - that they haven’t looked at it. I feel like this puts me at a disadvantage because they accept on a “rolling admissions” basis, yet people who have applied after me have been accepted before me. Its not fair because by the time they finally look at my application, the program will probably be full…

Isnt April 1st for freshmen only? I heard Transfers are rolling and yes i agree, by the time they look at my application, the class would prob be fulled.

If i dont get in, i might go Baruch or Buffalo Uni. Not sure yet.

Hey guys, I just called the school (because I’m as desperate as you guys are since I’m on the same boat), and they said the class for transfers aren’t full yet and it is still possible to get an acceptance.

But honestly, while all of that sounds positive and gives a tint of hope, I still feel that I got rejected and somewhat, expecting the rejection letter to come soon…

I don’t know… I emailed them and told them I was a transfer and they still said April 1st… But apparently not. And thanks sjmoon that makes me feel a little bit better… but not really haha

Well one of my friends got accepted last year to SOM but she didnt get her acceptance until MAY. I guess cause since may 1st is the last day for a deposit for everyone so when someone decides not to go, means rooms for us.

sjmoon- I know what you meannn. I feel like my grades were avg compare to others.

im so happyyy! accepted to SOM for fall 11. My grades were avg. I paid the deposit for baruch tho =[ so theres a 100 gone. omggggg im sooo happyyy! dang, the decision was late.

I am greatly interested in attending Binghamton’s School Of Management. I attend Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, NY where I am a part of the College Discovery program - which is an EOP equivalent. After this summer I will have completed 35 credits. I plan to graduate Kingsborough in January with my Associates of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts. I also plan on pursuing a career in Marketing, at Binghamton starting in the Spring of 2012.

Also, I would have completed pre-reqs like: Business law 1, macro, micro, Stats. BUT NOT calc.

My question is what is the usual GPA that EOP Transfers need to have to be admitted into SOM?

SOM is more selective than Harpur, considering there are fewer spots available in SOM. Also, because Binghamton is so well known for their accounting recruiters, SOM students must be top of the line so I think they are harsher with the application process.
