So this is my last week at school to get college crap into my counselor. I've been freaking out and researching colleges like crazy to try and see if there were any other schools I liked. I stumbled upon Virginia and the Echols program. That program seems ideal to me... I think that's what college should be. But I don't know if I'd get accepted to the school, let alone the program. Also, if I got into the school and didn't get into Echols, how hard is it to transfer?

Finally, if I do get in I don't think I can front the $30k out of state price tag. How Is Viriginia with aid for upper-middle class kids?

I mean I have some other good safe plans (free ride at UF, not ranked too much lower than VA). But if I were accepted into Echols with a decent aid package, I would definitely consider it.

Be as honest as you can with me... tell me my chances for acceptance into the school and to Echols.

Thanks a lot!

And about the music... I'm at a semi-pro level. I play union gigs and make union wages for my bass-playing. So it's not like I'm some punk rocker trying to act legit... haha.
