OOS Scholarship Package Question

Hey, Guys,

D2 is OOS and was told by the Scholarship Office that her "package" would be in the mail in about a week and a half. That was 3 weeks ago. Has anyone heard why they're running late here. D2's facing some other decision deadlines real soon. Thanks.

Was she told that she would be getting a package, or just that the packages would be coming out then. We also are waiting and hoping for something.

Financial aid and scholarship packages won’t be done until the financial aid deadline for UF which is March 15. Until the school had everything in for everyone accepted they can’t give anyone scholarships or financial aid.

All offers should be hopefully coming soon.

Gatormomma, bikedad is referring to the NMF scholarship offer. It’s just a letter and a contract, not exactly a packet.

bikedad, I think I got mine on the 5th. UF was on spring break this last week (I think) so they might not have gotten in out in time, or it unfortunately might have gotten lost in the mail.

The only really noteworthy aspect of it (in my opinion) was what it said about the OOS tuition waiver. It mentioned something like “please note that this does not constitute a full waiver; non-Florida residents will still be responsible for credit hour fees above and beyond in-state tuition.” That concerns me, and I’m waiting to hear back on what exactly that means.

Thanks, Biply. Yes, I was talking about the OOS NMF offer. Ms. Johnson said it would be mailed to us and should have arrived about 2 weeks ago, so I should probably start the dreaded tracking on that one.

Would you pm me when you get that info? I had already heard something fishy was up on the OOS waiver for NMF.

Thanks so much,
