Out-of-State Scholarships - Not NMF

Has anyone from out-of-state heard about scholarships or out-of-state tuition waivers yet? Someone in admissions said they were mailed out at the end of last week and we should be hearing the beginning of this week if we are a recipient

i haven’t heard

I just got one in the mail. I think its called the Golden Key scholarship for Out of state students. I get $6,500 per semester for four years.

^ Wow, nice. Congrats!

Way to go, jgirl. You are OOS, right? Are you NMF? I’m just wondering what chance D2 has of getting some OOS scholarship money. Again, congrats.

Bikedad

Congrats, jgirl! Do you have any kind of hook? For instance, I know African-Americans have specific scholarships at UF through the Presidential Scholarship program

Congratulations. What state are you in, and is there any chance you can give us your stats? I don’t know if I should even be wondering if I got a scholarship.

Does anyone think I have a chance?

those are great stats. are you a minority? if so, then you have good chances for a scholarship. I’m not sure about “majorities”…which is where I qualify…

I’m a majority except I’m female. So…unfortunately, probably nothing.

I got the Silver scholarship for OOS, which entitles me to $5000 per semester for $40,000 total. Unfortunately, I won’t be attending UF. I got into 5+ schools I would consider better… plus I’m still paying OOS tuition.

I’m asian… which does mean I’m a minority, since only 8% of UF is asian :P
