I am currently a sophomore and looking at colleges such as Stanford and the other top universities. I am currently in 5 Ap classes, (calc ab, physics 1, art history, world , environmental) and German III and English 2 pre-ap. I had one B last semester in physics and the rest were A’s. I am looking to apply to Stanford as a math major and will be heading in with 2 years of college math, calc 1,2,3 and ordinary differential equations. I am a first generation american with no family members attending or graduating from a 4 year university and I live I have divorced parents one making > $30,000 a year and the other around $60,000. On top of this I work on average of 30 hours a week and involved in Habitat for humanity and a president of the book club at my school along with Mu Alpha Theta and German honor society. How do I stand right now when it comes to the admissions processes at the top universities.
This is a chance me thread, so ask in that forum.
I think you’re working way too much. 5 AP classes and 30 hours a week doesn’t leave much time for more notable pursuits.
