I took my first SAT on December 12th, and just recently checked my scores. I thought i did worlds better, so naturally im disappointed with the outcome of my test. My friends tell me that i took the test a early (I'm a junior), and I did absolutely nothing to prepare for the test (i was told to take the first one "cold"). So i was just wondering what you guys think about my scores, and how they could improve if i apply myself. Thanks!

Math: 530

My first and only SAT Reasoning was taken this December. Naturally, i had no retake.

I did only 5 practice tests with no essay the week before I took the test. And on friday night, I played 7 hours of Left 4 Dead 2 with my friends.

I got 1920. :'(

i got a 1680 on my first try too…id say those practice tests help a crapload…and dont worry, as long as u focus on each section before a test, ur scores should bump up…i didnt have a good experience with SAT prep cuz i had soccer and only went to half the classes but definitly try the SAT book…for me tho, i took the ACT because SAT is not my kind of test…SAT measures logic and reasoning and it usually has a bunch of tricky questions…ACT measures knowledge but it is a very quick test…i got a 29 on my ACTs after getting only a 1750 on my SAT…the ACT book works well if u want to study for that…good luck

well honestly a 1920 isn’t all that bad. I would be pretty pleased with that score. I’m just starting to worry that my SAT score is going to stop me from getting into college…
