<p>Do you think either of these topics could be developed into a good essay?</p>

<p>-- How watching the kids in my bio class this past year made me want to be more outgoing:</p>

<p>I would write about how I was around some really outspoken, fun people all year and that makes me want to be not so quiet, and I would write about my goal to be more outgoing in college.</p>

<p>-- My obsession with foreign accents </p>

<p>I would write about how I love listening to foreign accents and how I'm really intrigued by them, if I hear someone speaking in an accent I immediately want to listen to everything they say. I would write about how I go out of my way to listen to people with accents lol. I would probably relate this to my desire to study abroad as well.</p>

<p>These are just my very initial ideas but do you think they have any potential?</p>

<p>I like the second more than the first!</p>

<p>The first is a banal topic but the second sounds quirky! </p>

<p>The only thing you should be cautious about is that you don’t say something negative about a person with an accent (sounds a tad bit racist then!), I love the idea and it makes you sound like you are open to diversity! And that is a huge pro for college applicants!</p>

<p>I’d definitely go for the second topic! The first one sounds way too cliche and dull but the second sounds like something i’d be interested to read.</p>
