Optional writing supplements?

I was just wondering if I should do all three supplements. They’re optional, and at the UDel information session they mentioned how they put little emphasis on essays compared to GPA, scores, etc. So should I even bother writing all 3?
GPA 3.75 UW
Rank: 17/224 (top 10%)
SAT: 2080 (M 720 CR 670 W 690)

From my experiences prepping my two for college we had always been told never to leave out any “optional” information. Sure, there’s a good chance they won’t look at it… we really will never know. However my view is if I were looking at an application and it had blank spaces for optional sections it could be viewed as “lazy” or “applicant is not very interested in the school”. Your stats are very good but if you are applying to a more difficult major and really want to go to UD I wouldn’t leave it to chance. Good Luck to you!

I agree with what was commented above. Your numerical stats look like that they could really stand out to UDel, but UDel does holistic admissions, meaning that they look at the application as a whole piece. I know this since I applied to UDel too lol. Good luck!

I chose not to do the optional essays, and I got accepted with a merit scholarship. Your stats are higher than mine (3.49 weighted, 1990 SAT. Not sure whether you live in state or not but I’m OOS), but I’d say it all comes down to your major. I applied as a communications major which isn’t one of their more competitive majors.

I did not do the optional essay and was accepted into the Honors program with merit scholarship. 2120SAT; 4.34 W; 3.97UW

I didn’t do the essays either and was accepted with a merit scholarship within a month of applying. I’m OOS, 3.7 weighted, 1930 SAT, history major.
