Nope nope...there is no button that says you HAVE to make a deposit. There is one link off the admissions page that gives you instructions on how to make the initial housing/acceptance. Learner service-->admissions-->pay your deposit on line-->instructions on how. This is different from the other financial link on how to set up an account. That will give you an error message.

On the to-do list my son's has listed the FAFSA and the student W2s with the disclaimer that the page will be updated on March 7 if you have sent either of these items. We have. I guess we'll go check next week and see if that message goes away. We have something from FAFSA that says it was completed.

His mid years were sent at the end of January. It does not show up on the to-do list, so mmood yours must have been received.

MMood87, it sometimes takes much longer than 5 days for the office to update information they have received. We sent in our FAFSA and other financial aid stuff and that notice is still up, which they say will be updated soon. If your materials are still being processed, they probably wouldn't have an admissions deposit link up yet (even if you are about to get accepted).

I read some archived posts from last year in March. Applicants seem to have gotten their acceptances at different times for regular decision. Some were as early as March 10, according to one post, while others did not get a letter until around April 1. So, no one should conclude anything yet...

Ah but you must! Did you see on the news today where 199 prospective students hacked into the Harvard Business School website to see if they had been admitted. Harvard has tracked them down, and they will not be admitted!

texastaximom- there is nothing wrong with looking at a link on the site Emory provides for applicants to keep up with their status. I do not think anyone is taling about hacking here.

I was being facetious jax....telling them they must wait for their good news. Apparently some folks did not. I didn't know that it extended beyond Harvard Business school smart--wow.

Yes it is gone here...perhaps they realized that they did not want this link on any of the pages just yet, prior to mailed decisions, since it could be misinterpreted as some sort of sign when none was intended.
