Ordering Dorm room supplies - DONT BUY FROM THIS SUPPLIER - RHL

I just want to inform parents that I have had a very bad experience with Residence Hall Linens. It seemed like a great idea to order online, but their quality and service is nothing short of abysmal. Way back in the first week of August we received a defective comforter (with discoloration and loose threads), and even though they said they would send a return label, they did not do that. So we returned it at our own expense, and they took more than a month to replace the comforter, even after my several phone calls and emails. I am still waiting for my refund on the shipping expense (which I was assured will be given by October 3rd!). The worst part is that they simply do not acknowledge any fault on their end. One of the agents even told me that 'this was a busy time for them, hence they are backed up', Really? If you are in this business, this is the busiest time of the year, and they didn't gear up for that? I had to send my order number and copies of my fedex label about 3 times to different email addresses before they even acknowledged receiving it.

We didn’t have any issues. I ordered from them, thought the quality was fine and expect that the set will last the 8 years our kids are in college. It was significantly better materials and quality than a more expensive set I once ordered from Target (and returned due to poor quality and mislabeling). I looked around a bit at the time and it seemed like the best buy. It’s not premium bedding, but I wasn’t expecting that in this price range. The sheets are 100% cotton which I appreciate. Mattress pad seemed ok, but I cannot speak to how well this bedding all fits on the bed. Towels were a little on the thin side but will do the job and super big thick towels also take up a super big amount of space in the washer/dryer. I am positive my daughter would prefer a thinner, smaller towel and fewer loads of laundry. Comforter was also on the lighter side, but the fabric (this was not cotton, I forget what) was nice enough and the weight was typical of what I would expect from a moderately priced bed-in-a-bag set. The light blanket was indeed light, cotton, pretty basic. If the room isn’t well heated, we will need to add some more warm bedding, but we have that already.
