Greetings!
I was wondering about the difference between Principles of Organic Chemistry and Honors Organic Chemistry. Both have a course number of 315. Also, do many people drop organic chemistry during the Add/Drop period, because I want to sign up for Honors Organic Chemistry as a freshman. I've heard countless horror stories about organic chemistry and how it "weeds" out a majority of the students. What makes it especially difficult for students? Any tips for success would be welcome :)

I think the hard part of the organic chemistry was that it made ppl think in a different way and u most know how to apply the concepts not memorize them. I know a lot of my friends who tried very hard but still ended getting Bs and Cs even though we studied together.

If u want to succeed in this class I highly recommend u to go to office hrs, dont be afraid to ask questions, and do the practice test for exams.

i got orgo as a freshman and i will definitely be dropping it. i’m sure others probably will too.
