I am taking Orgo next year and am wondering which semester would be best to take lab in. Next semester, if I took orgo lab, then i would be taking 19 credits, not counting the research for credit i am probably going to do. Therefore, I am thinking it may be too much, but then again, specifically for the lab component, how much of a time commitment is it? How much time outside of class is there preparation for the lab component/studying for it compared relatively to the lab component of 207/208? Is it best just to get it over worth? 19 credits does seem like a lot though, not counting 1 or 2 research credits...

The courses I am planning on taking for next semester are (also, originally neurobio and behavior, but probably gonna do biopsych now instead):

-Hebrew 103
-A Jewish Studies Course
-Intro to Biopsych
-Orgo (with lab?)
-Intro to Cognitive Science
-Research for Credit

I could also take it in spring semester. I have heard some say that it is advantageous to take it spring semester since in the spring, you actually have background in what you are trying to accomplish. The problem is that I can see my spring courses being more difficult, with taking neurobiology (likely 4 credit option), social psych, adult psychopathology (which i have seen has had a conflicting time with orgo lab spring 2007, though not this semester), and research for credit. Do people find it easier in the 2nd semester after already having orgo? I feel like taking it in spring will give me more breathing room in terms of credits, but still not sure, especially since there has been a conflict with adult psychopathology and orgo lab before. I'm leaning towards second semester though. Advice?
